Okay I see your theory and it makes sense,
The only problem is that this guy is never ever a Mind 5 guy.
In fact before getting his powers he was just a dumb street punk who over dosed on an experimental drug that gave him the powers.
While your version would in fact save me tons of points, it starts from a point that I can't rationalize with the character.
Which means I have to either;
1] Rethink the origin of the character
or
2] Just make him a nearly 100 point character and be done with it.
Due to my belief that plot is more important than anything else, I will have to go with 2.
That said, I never thought of using Shapeshift that way before, so kudos mate, I can now make a Dr. Jekyll/Mister Hyde type of dude too

Opps... maybe I am doing it wrong then.BASHMAN wrote:Just a note- you mean Omnipotence 30 (Mimics 6 levels in any non-cosmic power) [Gradual] 24pts and Cosmic Might 30 (+6 to Brawn Multiplier) [Gradual] 24 pts
Just a note- with Cosmic Might 30, you can literally make the Earth Move... Punch a hole in Texas, Throw a mountain into orbit, etc...
I just want to get his strength up to 10... is there another way?
I get confused so easily in my old age

Um are you sure you want a str 10 a str 5 lifts 100s of tons ,that could range from 100 tons on up 1000 or more .
so how about
brawn 3 agility 3 mind 2
1 boost 2 brawn gradual
4 special attack 5 damage gradual follows boost
2 armor 3 gradual follows boost
2 immunity weaken and drain
hows this i think it will feel like he keeps on growing stronger and tougher

The idea is that he is a Juggernaut/Hulk level threat. An entire team of 40 point characters should have a * of a hard time taking him down.
The madder he gets, the stronger he gets.
It's the only "high" he has anymore. He was a drug addict who can't die now and doesn't get high off of anything but fighting and smashing
He needs to be able to dish out sick damage and take even sicker damage.

Yep, check page 97:AslanC wrote:Just for scaling up his normal powers... are you sure about that limit bonus? I couldn't find it in the book, though I didn't look very hard.
So Cosmic Might 25 (which gives +5 Brawn) with one disadvantage costs 20 points. Or for the 24 points you paid, you could have Cosmic Might 30 (+6 Brawn) as Bashman was discussing.BASH UE wrote:Enhancements and Limitations affect the point cost of these powers at a rate of 1/5th the power’s level, instead of +1/-1 point. Because all the Cosmic powers are bought in 5 level increments, this should be easy. So a level 20 Cosmic power with an Enhancement costs 24 points, and a level 20 power with a Limitation would cost 16 points.
For Omnipotence, I certainly wouldn't make you pay that much if all you can apply them to are eligible existing powers. I'm not sure if Armor or Deflect can be raised past 3 even with Omnipotence. The rules for Cosmic Power Scaling (page 95) don't allow them to be bought higher 3 directly. But the description of Omnipotence says that ranks in a power plus ranks from Omnipotence stack. I'm just not clear on if they can stack over-and-above the normal max rank limit.
Beyond that, can he add new Immunities or Resistance via Omnipotence, or are those static choices? If his immunities and resistance are static, and Armor or Deflect cannot be raised above 3, then you are limiting your Omnipotence to just Push, Special Attack, Super Jump and Healing. Both Push and Special Attack already stack with your increasing Brawn + Cosmic Might, so may not need any extra boosting. Super Jump is based on Brawn squared, so also scales with your increasing Brawn.
So, depending on your interpretation of Deflect/Armor, and your concept for Immunities/Resistances, the only other power that doesn't already increase based on Cosmic Might is your Healing. Maybe drop Omnipotence and either scale up your Healing or leave it at 5 (his Hits don't increase, so he might not need more than 5 anyway). And if you do want to increase his Immunities, you could just buy Immunity 10 (allowable under the cosmic power scaling rules) with a limit that lets him only use 1 immunity per rank of Brawn, and it would be much cheaper than using Omnipotence.
When maxed out with Brawn 5 + Cosmic Might 25 for an effective Brawn of 10, he'd have a Soak of x13, a punch that is x13, and a Push that does knockback equivalent to a x22 attack in a Huge Burst. His Super Leap would be 1,000 squares.

What would be your take on the Hulk out of curiosity?BASHMAN wrote:Well with a Cosmic Might of 30, the entire Justice League would have a hard time with him, short of using plot-devices. It would take the Green Lantern Corps (and I mean that living planet included) to take a guy like that down (or maybe some similarly powerful Cosmic Herald)
