Say a character has the Mastery Power, Master X and X is light.
The character wants to use the Master Light power to blind opponents, now how would I go about figuring how that character attacks with the Master Light power and what the damage would be or the time (I'm assuming blindness for a certain duration).
I know in the book it says that damaging powers are best left to Special Attack etc. but all the players randomly rolled for their character's powers and then had to get creative from there so I'd like to be able to get this to work.
Suggestions!

Check out BAM! #5. It has an article called "To the Rescue: Controllers" which is right up your alley.
What you want to do is either
1. Buy separate powers for attacks you want to do on a regular basis
2. Use a "Power Trick" to do a single attack that is based on your X Mastery
3. Use a Power Stunt to keep doing the attack for a whole scene.
