How much of a drawback would it be if one character's life is linked to another, such that if that character dies, the life-linked character also dies? If a Weakness, how many points would it be worth?
The other character need not necessarily have the same problem, and this would obviously only be used in a setting where major character death occurs, if not often than as a real possibility.

I'm not sure that would be worth any points at all, since it doesn't effect the character in play at all. Its a binary setting, either there are no restrictions on the character or they are out of play (dead).
If they were adversely effected by the health/condition of the other life then it would be worth points. For example if you take a penalty if the other life gets sick.

That's sort of what I was thinking too - it seems more like a plot device than a mechanics thing, so it is hard to say what (if anything) it is worth. I'd call it a disadvantage, kind of like the flip side of Immortality, and give a -1 for it.
An alternate version I was considering was something like the disadvantaged character takes 1 hit for every 2 or 4 hits the other character takes, and dies if the other character dies. That might be worth -4 pts for the 1-to-2 ratio, or -2 pts for a 1-to-4 ratio. Something like that.

If hero A takes damage whenever hero B takes damage, I would say that counts as a weakness -4pts. If A gets knocked out whenever B gets knocked out, but damage isn't shared I would call that a disad. But if it is only in death that their link will matter, I would just have that be part of the backstory, since it won't affect them in play, unless they die,in which case the character is finished anyway.

Cool idea for a variation on Weakness. As a disadvantage you could have the character recieve -2 dice penalty if the other character falls below 40 Hits. If that other charcacter's Hits get to 10 or below than your character recieves a -4 dice penalty.
Alternately...
-2 dice penalty when linked charcter is at 30 Hits or lower; and -4 dice penalty if the 'link' falls unconscious.
