So I'm working on a villain who is a demoness/goddess from ancient Mesopotamia, and whose main function was spreading disease. So I was trying to come up with different ideas for how to express that in game terms.
Weaken was my first idea, as well as continual damage (for more virulent strains). Anyone got any other suggestions for powers that might fit in for diseases?

Weaken of course. You could also go another route, making a new power or ability.
Some ideas are: Wasting Disease: Everyday you lose 1 Hit that cannot be healed. All stun damage is treated as lethal in terms of recovery. Healing powers have half effect on you. Unless the disease is cured, you will ultimately die.
Sleeping sickness: Everyday when you wake up, you begin with x3 damage, which cannot be soaked. This damage is healed only when you are asleep, and you take the damage again when you wake again.
Otherwise, I think Weaken (Brawn) is a good way to do it.

If you want a longer term thing, add a few levels of Extra Duration to the Weakness, so it lasts a few days or whatever. I'd be careful about not making it too strong, in that case, maybe just one or two ranks instead of maxing it out, since it will last an entire story arc.
On the flip side, you can do things like Continual Damage with the Time limitation so it only rolls for damage once every few hours or whatever, instead of every page.

thanks for the feedback everyone! For now, I'll likely use Weaken, maybe Daze/Confuse, and possibly continual damage for now, as I am using her in my one shot this weekend.
I'll have to ponder the final version though, as this is a character I'm going to likely publish once I get my * together.
Chris/BASHMAN: Any chance some kind of Disease/Toxin based powers are going to show up in Awesome powers?
