Arc Areas

Post by Wolverine-X »

Need a tutorial on how Arc Areas work.

The rules say that it can be a parallel or perpendicular line or even a zig zag. Does the arc have to connect with the hero originating thr attack? Can it take any shape that you want? A circle surrounding the user, perhaps?

Any examples explaining its use in action would be appreciated.

Thanks!

If you just use Arc, it starts with the hero and travels from there.

If you want the starting point somewhere else, you need to buy Range too (the starting point being somewhere within the limits of Range).

It's poorly worded in the Arc description but if you look at the other Area descriptions, it's pretty clear that is what is meant to happen.

If you want to make a wall 8 squares long 5 squares away, you need Medium Arc, Close Range. There is no range included in the arc.

Now you *can* choose to use Arc without range to represent things like chain lightning, etc; but you don't have too. It's not like Line which must originate with the character.
