in what ways can X-Mastery "alter the environment"

Post by kevperrine »

I want to get the most use & enjoyment per the rules out of a power I choose. So if I use the power X-Mastery for "INSECT-Mastery" (like Ant-man would or Aquaman would for fish)

I do plan to use Summoning to have the insects (with specific powers) I want more easily. But I'd like to have X-Mastery as a Multi-Power attached to Summoning to "call/control" normal/mundane insects as well.

...my question is how can I USE the note that X-Mastery gives regarding "alter the environment" with my choice of "Insect-Mastery" and the insects I control (or any other NON-energy/enviro type "masteries")

as reminder - here's the quote from the text:
X-Mastery [p.53]
"Typically, you use this Mastery to alter the environment in some way- i.e. make it rain, or do some work in a short time- dig a hole, for example. Even super-human feats such as stopping an Earthquake are possible. To do this, you make a Mind or Power check (your choice), against a difficulty based on how strong an effect the power will have.
Your level in X Mastery determine the maximum difficulty you can attempt. Effects that do damage are best left for other powers like Special Attack, Telekinesis [Limitation: Only affects X], or Animation (any of which you might power stunt or multi-power with this one)."

thanks!

Well one thing you can do is have your insects burrow through something, have them build a hive, have them form a cloud-like swarm, etc.
