Cyclone is teaching the 13-week course, Superheroics 101, at Megapolis University. What do you think should be on his lesson plan?

Marketing! If you have no brand awareness, then you're not a super hero, you're a creepy dude in a mask and hockey pants!

Not sure about the lesson plan, but I know what one of the textbooks would be:

OK so far, we have
1. Marketing
I imagine practice interviews with reporters. Maybe a Marketing professor guest lecturer.
2.Witty Banter for the Beginner
Definite role-playing and audio/video of great examples.
3. Combat Ethics
Hmmm. Some video of good examples
4. Saving Civilians 101
Maybe an EMT guest lecturer
5. Metahumans & the Law
Definitely a lawyer guest speaker who specializes in powers. Maybe the Megapolis Police Department liaison officer to superheroes, too.
Would Collateral Damage fall under 4 or 5 or be its own lesson?
How about Keeping Two Separate Lives? Or Secret Identities?
Supervillain motivations?

Maybe I have gone through the cynical deconstructionism phase and come out the other side, but I don't really care for the "branding and marketing" aspect of it. If the teacher is serious, he'd teach things like "How to survive." or "How to size up an opponent", so you don't use your full super-strength on a normal human.
Things like Ethics, Saving Civilians, Escapology and the Law seem serious. Things like "Witty Banter" seem frivolous.
They might have people who are good at thinking of clever new uses for powers.

In the Case of "Metahumans & the Law" I recommend having Black Diamond, or some other member of URGENT there. For saving civilians, why not have Captain Vitality give the lecture (since he's basically a non-combat Hero who mainly focuses on helping civilians & healing team-mates).

Costuming 101 for sure. Every super has to know how to look good when crime fighting. A real hero can't just wear their favorite bed-time P-Js!
