Help me choose my HERO

Hey Folks!
Help me choose my HERO

My group just started a new supers campaign. Roughly an Avengers type game and power level. We're doing a "round robin" style of game so that each of us can step in and be Narrator. Allowing everyone to play and tell a story.
I'm first Narrator and have my story going HERE. But I'm looking to make up details for my character idea. I'm having a tough time deciding (I have so many ideas, and they keep coming).

I wanna make sure and NOT step on any other player's character toes. Maybe you can help me rule-out some that might do that too?
I'm looking for thoughts and your opinions on which might be most fun in a group to play! The team SO FAR is:
GORILLA-X
An "uplifted" gorilla. Genius with gorilla ability. Sort of a "Beast" (from X-men) type character.

BULLET
Gun-toting master of pistols with Time-Distortion Boots allowing for some super speed and teleportation.

PHASE
A hero trapped in one of his four transformed forms at all times. Air, Earth, Water, Fire.

My ideas...
I would really dig playing them ALL... but I can't decide! hehe

DOCTORY DAKTYLOS
"Doc Dak" is obsessed with criminology. He focuses his insane obsession through the study of fingerprints (dactylography). This manifest him as a "hero" by his intense need to solve crime. He's indifferent about the punishment of crime, but in general needs the incarceration of criminals for further study of the mind/body of criminals to learn more of the future crimes/criminals. His study allows him to predict movements/tactics of others, so his deductive reasoning (in both battle and investigation) are extreme. He is a man obsessed and almost always talks in question. (think The Question, Rorsharch, Batman, Midnighter, and Sherlock Holmes)

PINNACLE
a Superman style paragon hero, limited by needing to focus his energy into one of his powers to make them work "flawlessly", so he can become "immune" to various physical damage but would then be open to mental attacks. He can be the strongest on the planet, but not be able to fly. He the ultimate straight-man who thinks he's better than he is, no sense of humor... which is funny.

SHIELD BEARER
a captain america type (SHIELD BEARER)

CAVE-IN
a hulk type brute (caveman themed)

CINDERELLA MAN
Inspired by Brad Pitt from Fight Club, mixed with a little Wolverine (healing) and crazy fighting skills (though no super Brawn/Agility). A down on his luck guy, who's real "power" is to barely pull out wins, but only when lives are on the line (meaning a local bruiser in a bar might kick his butt at times) He has an indomitable willpower, just won't stop. Semi-crazy (in a good way) Irish Barfighter, that can barely get buzzed but doesn't let that stop him from trying to get drunk! He never goes a day without getting in a fight - hence his "mask" is his bruised face! hehe

GALLEON
Ironman and Aquaman inspired - obscenely wealthy day trader/entrepreneur with a love of the classic tall ships of English warships of the 1700s. Not a gadgeteer - but had his "Flotilla of Justice" built as an "armory" of a large warmachine style armor/vehicle, stylized after the tall ships of the line. With three "sidekick" bots:
Clipper: small and swift
Cutter: small and lightly armed enforcer of regulations
Brigantine: small skirmisher pirate

KICKFLIP
(or FREE-RUNNER)
(aka. "my young Skater-lad") the kid sidekick to SHIELD BEARER, Inspired by a mix of the Robins (mostly *, Tim and Damian) mixed with an x-games alternative love/respect of America. Smart-alec "freerunner" expert but fun kid who uses his skateboard as both transport, attack and primarily as a shield! a true young hero. (elder robin style if Batman had died or a younger x-game skateboard as his shield style semi-patriotic hero) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_running

METRO
A "City-Controller", inspired by Jack Hawksmoore (of The Authority) mixed with a more traditional controller type similar to "earth control". Able to control and manipulate anything in a "city" ... the bigger the city (inspired by the size, both people and buildings and the spirit of the city such as a formerly great city). The farther away from the city... the less control over the environment. Though he can "use his power" with remnants of the city - such taking a stop sign from the city into the country-side to use as a shield better than it should be able to use.

KINGFISHER
Thor and Aquaman inspired. A Thor-style brick with powers over the ocean (water/liquids in general), given by the Kraken (Poseidon's progeny). With a massive ancor that functions like Thor's hammer.

DR. K-NINE
(aka. Kanine Neo-Intellect Nascent Engineer or FIDO: Futuristic Intelligent Dog Operative)
A sentient dog, in the style of Lockjaw. Unable to talk but communicates through Telepathy. Probably the smartest being in the galaxy. Basic dog-like fighting ability with a higher strength for biting/grappling but overall he uses limited Mind Control (Suggestion?) to have his "friends" (any bums off the street) come build his amazing techno-gadgets, super-vehicles, and HQ that he primarily uses to fight crime! (imagine Reed Richards without stretching as a Lockjaw sized dog flying about in a hover-craft, etc...)

COLONY
(the bug theme) a bug based hero focusing on making bugs BIGGER (like the ants of THEM) instead of becoming smaller

QUILL
(the bow/arrow theme) a bowman and ancient weapon expert (mongol on horse theme or Aurthurian style)

TALON
a sidekick type hero. Either the elder "hasn't moved on" sidekick

DOC DINO
Able to transform into various dinosaur(s). Sort of a cross between BeastBoy and Giant/Ant Man (with a growth-slam attack).

PRATFALL
A mix between Wolverine (super healing) and Daredevil/Spidey (super dexterous) with unlucky disadvantages. Fun happy-go-luckless contortionist and karate expert.

MENAGERIE
A character with the ability to call animals to appear/battle for him, not shapeshifting... and not being in battle controlling them. He can see through the eyes of his animals and "conjures" more or different animals to help, all while he sits as an old old man in a mansion in upstate New York.

AMERICAN KNOW-HOW
"Know-How" for short. A mix between Shazam (the kid turns into a adult-hero) and Captain America (perfect human), mixed up with a little bit of Prime/Spawn (both characters with near infinite power, but unknowing how to tap it, ie. uncontrolled). Basically a Cap type hero with loads of "power stunt" options on a near cosmic scale, but can't actively USE that (or know about it).

REDSHIRT
human/immortal, cursed by a gypsy to never die and always were his "Star Warp" costume. His shtick is to never die, heal when reaching 0 Hits. He's a computer geek, driver and pilot. His attacks are through whatever dangerous thing he can find to use with himself since he can't die (ramming a car into the villain for example). He's a comic relief Spider-Man style personality.

MR. MINERAL
A cross between the Vision (in look/style) and Terra (of the Teen Titans, in powers)

FLUKE
Almost normal guy, except for his luck powers! "It was in early college that Martin gained these abilities… He has suspicions but ultimately doesn't know where his powers came from, so he now simply believes that he's extraordinarily lucky - thus he took up a homemade mask to step in where he could and become a Fluke to the underworld crooks that think they can abuse or steal from others! Martain's powers did hit ""overnight"" though, though his color change happened over months... The truth of Fluke's power-source comes from a late-night visit by alien scientists. That faiteful night aliens endowed Martin with strange energies giving him his powers. Generally such an ""experiment"" would be monitored for scientific revelation, but as it happens the aliens were drunk from a night out on the galaxy and have mostly forgotten about the ""pranks"" of that ""Really super-dooper fun night on Uurrth""..."

WHEELMAN
A normal guy with massive inventing skills for any type of vehicles. He would have conjure/gadgeteering and super-vehicles (multiple times) to have a car/plane/vehicle for every situation! And if not, he'd make it quickly! I'd pattern him off of a cross between Michael Knight and the God of Craftsmanship (as he has the blood of that god, specific to building vehicles!)

Dang... No wonder you have a tough time choosing! Lots of cool ideas there. Looking at the team, Pinnacle looks like he would be fun and versatile; able to plug gaps in the team's gameplan as needed. They seem to need a frontline brick in some fashion to help round things out.

So many character great ideas... you should try to come up with an idea to play them all. For example, you play a Justice League. Your friends play the core characters, and you play everyone else.

Here are my favorites to play:
1. Shield Bearer - I love cap
2. Kingfisher - I love Thor and Aquaman. Although I would go trident rather than anchor. Anchors are for airbreathers
3. Fluke - too funny
4. Cinderella Man - never quit

You could make another supplement from your list alone.

cheers

Thanks!
I was working on PINNACLE's stat ideas. Still dithering on my decision... Luckily it'll be 2-3 weeks before I get to play one of my PC-Heroes. (my group plays bi-weekly-ish, and I'm the current Round-Robin Narrator... so while we're playing THIS Friday, I won't be a player until the next session)

My idea for SHIELD BEARER is alot of the sappy almost being naive American Values is the best way kinda thing. My quote for him is "What would the founding fathers think about this? If they'd disagree about the spirit of the thing... then I'm following the spirit of their beliefs rather than what's being told."

KINGFISHER... I already have an awesome illustration for him, done years ago for a project I thought of but never completed. You'd dig the anchor as "his" version of Thor's hammer if you saw it. And the overall idea is that he's more of a Boston-style fisherman type (from Gloucester). So he's not a prince of Atlantis type that'd have a trident...

FLUKE ... I made in response to (forum member) Boost's version of his "Mr. Fortune" ... I posted my thoughts there and his build already and picture I made HERE.

CINDERELLA MAN ... is a bizarre mix of a few sources. I really really really wanna make a statted version of him and fill out his background more. The source ideas are a big hodge-podge of:
- Brad Pitt in Fight Club
- Brad Pitt in Snatch
- the image and a little of the idea of Super Unicorn's character "The Pugilist" published in the M&M1st Edition book.
- and Marvel Comic's "Mr. Immortal"
- and funnily enough Eminem's song, "Cinderella Man"
- all bundled with the "costume" idea of a guy not needing a classic domino-mask because his bruised up face actually sorta "forms" a mask cause he can't go a day without a fight!

fun fun fun!

HAHA...
Yes.
I have so so so many ideas for supplements. What I need to make this one and those other ones to happen:

a. A partner to keep me on task and help form a 3rd party. (I just get so distracted myself)
b. The partner that's interested in helping alot with Stats, editing, and rule checks. I'm pretty good but I'm slow and need editing.
c. Some funding to help get cool art. 'cause (sadly in this way) my standards for "quality" of artwork demand certain styles. Sometimes those artists get expensive. And I want to put forth a really quality product - and for supers ... that means GREAT original and cool art/costumes, and design. (luckily with this I have Graphic Design background/skills, I'm just not 100% an artist - hehe)
d. Again, with the partner in crime. I need motivation to stay on task and write. I'm good at coming up with ideas, as long as I have enthusiasm... hehe

As for your partner in crime...
I've a BASH project in the concept stage. Let me get it more mature and we'll chat.

hehe... I'm never at a loss for superhero thinking!
Thanks Samuraidad - (at least I assume your "DANG" is a good thing, heehe).

I'm toying with making stats for Kingfisher now.
Take a look at my Character Build thread for some stats on some of these ideas.

I always love input!
thanks again

Love the characters and I agree with the above posts in that shield bearer, Kingfisher, Fluke, and Cinderella Man (calling him cindy could be dangerous).

And if you need art for projects or some one to bug you for a schedule of products let me know.

Regards
