Size, Scale, Characters & Grids?

Hey all,

I'm tooling around (still, coming slow) with a new Character Builder for BASH! UE as an Excel doc.
I want to include all the size categories as well as info on the Cosmic powers/scale.

So ... I *think* I've only hit a few snags.
I'm wondering (BASHMAN?) if you considered all the "scale" and "size" rules together when you built the system? First glance would tell me you had an idea in mind but never really set ALL the size categories down inline together.

My point... Using a combo of:
- Growth chart
- Shrinking chart
- Vehicles chart
- info from "Grids" in the Cosmic section

Surprisingly (not so surprisingly) these ALL fit together perfectly.
But these tables (also associated with size) are out of sync.
- the Range/Area/Burst table scales
- the Teleportation table scale
- the Conjuring table
- the X-Mastery table
- and a few of the Cosmic "grid" bits are confused (example: the text notes that a 6x6 Grid is "Between star systems (tens of light-years)" but also notes that "a planet takes up 6x6 to 20x20") I just went with the more complete information on the "Space" movement chart for this purpose and it fits well.

Am I missing any other SIZE infomations in BASH!?
I don't think those minor inconsistencies are an issue at all. They seem necessary to balance the rules and uses they are in context with.
But I wanted to mention/ask about them. See if there's some rhythm or reason I'm missing.

Lastly... "filling in 'holes'" on the all-encompassing size chart.
There are some things I wanted to not and ask about:

If I am correct here are the modifiers for Growing/Shrinking:
GROWTH
Dice Penalty: Equal to Growing Level on any rolls to defend yourself.
Result bonus: Equal to +5 per Growing Level to all Brawn based rolls, including damage and soak.
Knockback: Resistance equal to Growing Level to Brawn.

SHRINKING
Dice Bonus: Equal to Shrinking Level to Agility rolls, including attacks, defense, and Agility based skills.
Dice Penalty: Equal to -1 per Shrinking Level (up to Level 4) to all Brawn rolls (including Damage and Soak).
Lifting: Divided by 2x Shrinking Level
Falling: Resistance equal to Shrinking Level to Brawn when soaking falling damage.
Knockback: Vulnerable equal to 2x Shrinking Level x the distance you would have been knocked back.

So my questions from that are:

Do you get any Dice Penalty when using Growing Levels for Agility based skill rolls or attacks?

Does your lift change when using Growing Levels?

Do you get any modifiers to resist falling when using Growing Levels?

thanks!

A 6x6 grid is between star systems? Where does it say that?

Maybe I'm confusing "grid" with distance. But that's why I'm posting here.

page 96 under "Size" on the "Event Type / Speed per Hour" chart, it says:
"6 Grids = Between star systems (tens of light-years)"

I took THIS chart as a base for extending the "Growing" chart to advanced "Cosmic" scale.
Growth 10 = Several hundred miles = 1x1 Grid = Cost 30
Growth 20 = The Moon; several thousand miles = 2x2 Grid = Cost 35
Growth 30 = Orbit the Earth (tens of thouĀsands of miles) = 3x3 = Cost 40 Grid = Cost 45
Growth 40 = To the moon (hundreds of thousands of miles) = 4x4 Grid = Cost 50
Growth 50 = Anywhere in the star system (millions of miles) = 5x5 Grid
Growth 60 = Between star systems (tens of light-years) = 6x6 Grid = Cost 55
Growth 70 = To a distant star system (sevĀeral thousand light-years) = 7x7 Grid = Cost 60
Growth 80 = Across the Galaxy (hundreds of parsecs) = 8x8 Grid = Cost 65
Growth 90 = Beyond the Galaxy, (immeasurable) = 9x9 Grid = Cost 70
Growth 100 = Across the Universe = 10x10 Grid = Cost 75

Am I reading this wrong?

And also... I was wondering - am I calculating the COST of these "Cosmic Growth" Levels correctly?

Cosmic power purchasing confused me a little...

Okay, that chart has a problem with it- it is a typo.

Where it says "Event Type" it should say "Speed per Page"

Sorry for the confusion there. Crossing the universe is a lot more than 10 grids!

I'm even more confused now.

So...
For that chart's column types:
- what is "roll" meant for?
- and how do the second two columns relate?

- is the "roll" column meant to be the LEVEL of Cosmic Flight/Speed?
- is the "Speed per Page" column meant to be "Warp Speed" in Space?
- is the "Speed per Hour" meant to be Cosmic Flight/Speed in atmosphere?

Beyond all that...
Is this a chart that I can/should use for expanding the Cosmic Size chart I'm making (as shown in the above thread post)?

If so, any suggestions?
If not, what would you suggest?

Let me show you a screen-grab of what I'm working on. For the Excel Character Builder that I am working on the "data" tab is filled with data info needed for autobuilding bits in the Excel file. For that I wanted to make a "complete" Size Chart for reference, what will happen is when you choose your "SIZE" (if the character you're making has permanent size) it will grab all the modifier information from THIS chart on the data tab and auto-change the things size alters.

Here's a look at that data:

Yup - loads of questions...
Any answers?
(PS... I'll have to double check my copy of ION Guard, I can't remember if they addresses any of this Cosmic scale in that book)

thanks again, as always

The word "roll" is also a typo. It should say "Level" there.
