do you BUY normal weapons & gear?

Making characters - I hit a snag.... I hadn't thought of and I can't find the answer.

In character creations (or during game) HOW do you buy/get just normal gear, equipment or weapons?

I understand that if you have a normal gun with special modifiers/powers, you "buy" them with Character Points at character creation.

However.... what if my character just wants to get a normal gun or a normal bullet-proof vest or a cell phone or a car or an "adventuring pack" of stuff?

How do I "pay" for that?

Help please?

Thank you sir!
I am going to reply there.

I normally would NOT cross-post like that much.
However... I hope folks (BASH! fans that see the cross-post here) will forgive me.

A few things I've been planning/asking in the past few weeks have (in my opinion) been something that I:

a. want to get quicker and a wider range of thoughts

b. I actually am cross-posting to RPGnet because I want BASH! to get more word-of-mouth interest.

So by cross-posting both happen.
If this is something that bothers folks (primarily our fearless creator BASHMAN) I will refrain and only post for comments here in the BASH! forums.

But I wanted to explain my reasoning for doing so.
And thanks again sir for answering my questions quickly and very helpful!

Actually I don't mind BASH! getting more exposure at all myself.

Maybe I should post my actual play over to rpg.net too...

It couldn't hurt. As I've often said "Word of mouth, and word of net are the best advertising a small publisher can have".
