A MapTools framework for BASH

Hello,
Current Version: 1.03 - April 11, 2010
As discussed on the old forums, I've just put up the first release of my BASH framework for MapTools.
MapTools
BASH framework forum thread in the MapTools forums.
Instructions for using the BASH framework campaign file - includes the link to download the latest version.
I am willing to host a few tutorial sessions if anyone is interested in learning how to use MapTools and the BASH framework. I'm typically available in the evenings in the EST timezone (GMT-5, depending on daylight savings).
If anyone has any questions or feedback, I'd love to see them.
Please note that this is the first release, and will almost certainly still have some bugs. I am also new to BASH, so it might also have game mechanic errors as well. If you encounter any problems, please let me know.

I've updated the original post with some screen shots.
Would anyone be available for a quick tutorial tonight, maybe around 8 or 9 Eastern? I can host a MapTools session showing the framework, and I have access to a ventrilo server for voice chat, or we can just use the text chat in MapTools.

Sounds cool! I'm in. So how do we "join" the session?

I get off work at 9pm Eastern so I'll have to pass on this one, but I will definitely keep an eye out for future sessions if there are any. I look forward to hearing the reports!

Okay, I'll have a MapTools session up for the rest of the evening. Anyone who would like to see what it looks like can feel free to pop in.
To connect to the session, you'll need to follow these steps:
1. Go to
RPTools Site
2. Go to the Launch Tab
3. In the Quick Launch section of the page, click the link for MapTools development version 1.3.b63.
4. You may get a pop-up asking if you want to open or save. Either is fine. If you select Open, it will just run immediately and put a MapTools web start icon on your desktop. If you select Save, you'll need to find where you save it and double click the file to open it.
5. You may get a Java security warning, click Run.
6. Click on the File menu, and select "Connect to Server".
7. In the Connect to Server dialog, put in a username (just a nickname, you don't need to create an account or anything).
8. To connect as a player, leave the password field blank (I'm creating this as a public session), and the role as Player.
9. On the RPTools.net tab, you should see a list of MapTools sessions that are currently active. Find and double click the one called "Lindharin's BASH Demo".
We can start off with the text chat in MapTools, and if folks want to try some form of voice chat we can work out the details there.
If you have any trouble, post a message below. I'll be monitoring this thread every few minutes.

Try double clicking on the server "Lindharin's BASH Demo" instead of just highlighting and hitting OK. Does that work?

That's what worked

I've had a few people stop by - thanks a lot for your time and interest!
I'll be keeping the server up for at least another hour or two, and I'll try to do it a few more times this week and next, or on request. Also, I should have time on Friday during the (ie, my) daytime hours, so if anyone is in Europe I could do it my Friday afternoon / your evening.

I've uploaded a new version of the campaign file to fix a bug (the link to apply damage was broken), and add a few new features.

Oh, and I've set up an account with DimDim, which provides free screen sharing (with one-way voice too) that an audience can watch in their web browsers without needing to install any software. So I can broadcast what I'm doing on my screen to show you how I do things in MapTools.

I only saw a little bit, so I will definitely have to stop back in again, but it looks very interesting
