Awesome Powers Omnibus Layout + Character Cards

We have some good news on the Awesome Powers Omnibus. Layout is nearing completion. Thus far, we've gotten the PDF laid out at with all the powers and sample characters at just under 250 pages. This means that we will have room to include more of the art that has gone into making Awesome Powers so... awesome over its run without breaking the scales by adding a few more pages. A lot of editing has gone into streamlining what was originally around 700 pages of text into a viable single book.

Aside from selecting and adding a few more art pieces to the main text, the main challenges that await us are laying out the book cover (which for PDF will be easy enough to do) and getting the Omnibus ready for print production.

The end of the book will include printable "character cards" that include all the sample characters that have been a part of Awesome Powers. The idea is that the Narrator can print it out, cut it with scissors, and fold them in half to either slide into card sleeves or make into "table tents" that allow the Narrator to see the character's game stats on one side while letting the players view the character illustration on the other side. I've just received a test copy of these and could not wait to test them out myself (bear in mind that the images below are a lower resolution than the finished product will be).

Thank you again so much for your support and patience with this product!

I love the idea of the tented Character Cards that the Narrator can set out before them--especially for villain or key NPC characters. This is especially useful for a PDF product where key characters can be printed out for an encounter and stored away safely in card holders when not needed. Too many, however in a print book might be distracting, however, since they cannot be removed and are difficult to utilize (turning book sideways and then seeing the character image upside down to the text). If it was, say, about a dozen pages (~48 characters!), I wouldn't feel like it was a big deal, but fifty pages would definitely be pushing things (for me, at least). Again, PDF wise, no problem.

Maybe these Character Cards could be a secondary PDF product (possibly available for free to Kickstarter backers, but $0.99 for every 2-4 pages worth of characters... or, whatever you think works best).

Again, this Character Card set-up is incredible! I don't think that my character builds could fit inside them well (I put way too much detail into their powers and the minutia of enhancements and limitations that fine-tune each ability)... but, I'd like to give it a try. BASHMAN, did you find of develop a page template for MS Word or OpenOffice that you could share?

So there are 36 characters with 4 on each page; this means that there would be only 9 pages in the book. Ideally, you would print them from your PDF, but having them in the book would allow you to simply photocopy them to use at the table.
