Wow. Ion Guard looks like an outstanding supers setting. Sci-fi + supers... it's like chocolate and peanut butter. This is a must get book!

This does look really cool. The cover has a Green Lantern feel, which is awesome by me.

When's this due out and how do we get a copy?

It will be coming out as soon as they can get it out. I think it's in Layout/Editing now. Getting a copy will probably be on rpgnow.com- but their website may have links to other possibilities. Even though the ICONS edition appears at the top of the site, the BASH! version is coming out before August if at all possible I'm told, and early July would be a good bet.

Here is something straight from the horse's (er.. radioactive ape's) mouth:

Oh, you cynical gamer you; how about the fact that it's DUE OUT WITHIN THE NEXT FREAKIN' 7-10 DAYS IF NOT EARLIER! :p ;)

Now, a preview!

Got my copy all ready! Would have like some more baddies, but other than that minor quibble, it looks pretty good.

I think PT Barnum said "Always leave them wanting more..." from what I understand, Radioactive Ape will be making more suppliments. Since the next set is called "Alien Empires" I imagine it will have some more badguys (and since it's not needing to introduce the ION Guard anymore, there will likely be more room for it).

Bought it, read it, posted a positive review of it on rpgnow. Was impressed enough with the book that I bought the Bash! rpg UE book as well. Been playing supers rpgs since the first champions books back in the 1980s, long time M&M player, wish I had known about this game years ago. It's elegant, quick and fun, and if it inspires third parties to publish books of the overall quality of ION Guard, well, I see a promising future ahead.

Peace now.

Just bought it! It looks great. I will be reading it soon (I've been temporarily distracted by Atomic Highway - I didn't even realize these were the same guys when I picked up AH last week). Looking forward to the Evil Empires follow up to ION Guard!
