Hi. Thought I would introduce myself and my art. I just recently found BASH UE and I'm about to embark on a campaign via Skype and Maptools with old friends. Based on a campaign that has run some 17 years. But that is a conversation for another thread.

Besides being a long time role player, I also am a professional freelance artist. And I do lots of commissions. Now, I do not have a "Bruce Timm" style, which seems to be the "house" style for BASH. I like that style, but I don't work in it. I tend to a somewhat more "realistic" art... albeit, still idealized.

My rates for commissions are $45.00 per figure. I do full color, as you will see in my samples. Occasionally, I'm asked to do b&w or pencil, but I still charge $45.00 as I just simply take more time and care in that stage. Backgrounds are negotiable. I send patrons a 450-600 dpi version.

I do take my private commissions and try to make a few extra dollars by releasing some of them as clip art via LPJ designs. I've got 12 portfolios up and we've been releasing about one a month. If publishers need good resolution clip art, please check them out here: http://www.rpgnow.com/index.php?cPath=1308_577

I prefer being contacted by email. I tend to miss PMs. My email is Storn.Cook@gmail.com

My website is: http://s2.photobucket.com/albums/y35/Storn/
Which has 622 images of me writing this.

Here are some samples of my work:

Hey, Storn! Glad to see you making a splash over here! :D

I've followed Storn's work for many years; the guy is simply amazing. The only thing that has kept me from commissioning work from him is trying to select just which character in my mental files is worthy of his talent and the fact that I know he's a man in demand!

Storn, I love your work. I have the Savage Worlds Super Powers Companion, which features a lot of characters by you, and have enjoyed the gallery of work you have posted over at the Atomic Think Tank.

Thanks for bringing your talent over to BASH!

[P.S. Though I like the Animated style as well, my preference still leans toward the more traditional comic art form.]

Very Nice Artwork, Storn! I have enjoyed your stuff for years.

I too prefer the more realistic style for supers, although the animated stuff looks great too.

Glad you like, y'all.

Here is one from my upcoming game, if interested in the stats, I put her up in the Super Builds section.

First up, another Death Tribble commission. This one is Skin Devil. Bodybrowser from Googlelabs was a huge help on this one.

And here is the first of five for a fantasy adventure group...

Hey Storn, welcome to the BASH community! I'm sure all of us who have been in this hobby for a while know who you are and we have some familiarity with your terrific work.

For my tastes, BASH is the best all-around RPG for emulating supers while keeping things fun and interesting. I certainly hope you have a great experience with it as well.

When I make up my mind, I will be contacting you about a commission piece.

Somehow, I'm reminded of Cheer's theme song. But I have a feeling that not everyone knows who I am, nor should they. But I appreciate the kind words.

BASH looks quite nifty. It will probably be mid-Feb before our game gets off the ground, but looking forward to taking it out.

And i look forward to what you might come up with for a commission.

As a long time fan of Storn's work, I'm glad to see he's joined the BASH bandwagon.

The Showgirl is another supervillain concept from Death Tribble. He wanted a demure costume if possible, but all the reference I could find had a lot of skin. She certainly is super doing a jump in heels... but hey, supers are fantasy. Do not try at home.

And here is another fantasy commission for the "party of 5". Fantasy takes a bit more time than the superhero stuff.... I used to think it was just because of the level of detail, folds in clothes, lots of accoutrements like bags, weapons, belts, buckles. But while doing this one, I came to think that it is also the different textures things are... so it is not just the bags, belts, weapons and buckles, its those things have different "feels" to them visually... or should. This one took a bit longer than I would have liked and I'm still feeling like it's missing something.

Storn, it's great to see you posting here. I've been a fan of your art since back in the day when I used to play 4th ed Champions. $45 for a commission from you is a steal!
