MrJupiter wrote:Great character background. I also like the way the campaign carries an ongoing storyline dealing with alien invasion. That would be a fun setting to play in (especially as heroes instead of villains like the Necessary Evil campaign setting).
Not invasion; the aliens (called Moevians) want to wipe out humanity. In the campaign, as you grow in power, you risk going insane. The Moevians have had to deal with supers going insane, and after an event that changed the universe (caused by a former character), they realized a human super was at the power level of one who tend to go insane. Fearing the worst, they've decided it's better to wipe us out rather than let more supers achieve that level of power.

Glare almost succumbed to this condition (called Metapsychosis), but was able to bring himself back from the brink (thanks to a house rule that lets you spend xp to possibly alter a failed roll in certain circumstances), so the character understands their fear. The campaign setting has been created by our GM over a 20 year period, and incorporates many influences (Lovecraft, various comics, mythology, etc). It's a lot of fun, especially when we play characters in other time periods, and those adventures become part of the campaign worlds history.

Hey cool: POWER with a PRICE! Glad to hear of a campaign with such great longevity. I love the idea of Lovecraftian influences in a supers game.

Here's a new piece from Anthony Green. It's part of that quasi-religious group I've posted other images for. This is the malevolent friar known as Smoke:

Another new piece by Anthony Green. This is Purge, who wields the holy fire of righteousness

Great ideas. By the similar costuming, I'm assuming that both Smoke and Pruge are on the same team (and thus villains)! Cool.

Mr Juptier,

They're from the same organization that the characters I posted on page 2 are from. Just finally getting the last few done. Have 2 more to go, then the group is finally finished.

Ah yes. The Grand Inquisitor and flunkies. Now how could I have forgotten about them? It will be great to finally see the last two.

The next one is almost done (approved the image, just need it colored in), then one last piece, and the group is done.

Next member of the team is Samson:

I think this is the last member. Had an idea for another one, but decided to just stick to four superhuman members.

And here is a new piece from Dan Houser. It's another take on Red Scorpion, who was in the first image I posted when I started this thread:

A new Dan Houser one. This is the Doctor Anubis, a new take on an old villain I created back in the 90's:

Oh man! I love this piece. Would I be correct in thinking that he is some kind of tech-based character? Dan Houser did an amazing job with Doctor Anubis. I'm already drawn to want to know more. Do you care to share anything with us about this villain?

The original version of this character (who was simply called Anubis), had a helmet that fired laser beams. Not a very good villain, but enough inspiration to revise into what Dan drew.

I haven't really decided on what he does yet, but he is tech based.

Awesome. I hope to see him in one of your products soon (at least, I hope that's your plan).
