Here's something a bit removed from what I've been posting here, a barbarian! He was rendered in grayscale for the project, but I decided to give him a quick color work over before I posted him here. Enjoy!

Great pose for the barbarian. I really love the way you have him running at the viewer. Awesome proportions, lines, and shading!

Thanks! I really didn't put much effort into coloring him, I think it looks better in the grayscale format that it was originaly done in.

Here's another fantasy illustration I submitted, a snakeman!

Thank you sir, I'm pretty proud of him too!

Here's a pic I did for a villain named Radian (I think) for the (upcoming???) BAM article. This is actually someone's villain from on this forum, so I was curious what they thought about the illustration.

The barbarian and snake guy would fit perfectly in Legends of Steel.

Well hopefully you're not the only one who thinks so :)

Love these latest pics, Dustland! Is Oconnor, your armored villainess Irish?

Btw, can you tell me more about the Heroes of Universal City? I'm guessing it's a supplement for BASH, yes? Is it a city book? What is the feel of it (more 4 color or more gritty...or something else)? And when do expect it will be released? I'm interested! Btw, I realize that your answers to my questions may not belong here under sketch pad. Feel free to answer them elsewhere. Thanks!!!

Hey thanks Sam-d!

Yeppers! And if you look back a few pages you might spot her partner in crime, as well as a few other villains that will make an appearance!

It's the unofficial name of a pbp game I'm going to run some time this summer, once the Chimera game wraps up (yet another pbp game on here).

I'm going for a Silver Age feel, but there's a few setting twists (most powers come from bloodlines, though magic and hi-tech powers are around). The overall plot of the game is a rip-off of a decade old supers pc game, but I'm changing up characters and events enough to hopefully keep things fresh.

Here's a link to the thread...

And I'm always happy to chat, so feel free to post here!

Yet another fantasy illustration that I submitted, a hellhound (or heckhound if you prefer, worg maybe???). Once again, it was rendered in grayscale but I half-heartedly colored it and threw in a background before I posted it here.

Enjoy!

I decided to work Radian over a bit. I think I like the shading better this way, less cartoonish, more comicbookish...

Yah, I think I like the new background on the Radian pic more than I like how his body shading came out.

The hellhound was well outside of my normal (limited) drawing style. I was hoping it would make it into LoS, but it looks like Snakeman will be the lone contribution, which is uber-cool in it's own right!

If anyone ever wants to throw together a BASH Pointy Bits and Scales Manuel (you know, a monster manual!), let me know. Doing the monster pics was a fun change of pace and a challenge.
