I've been turning over a few ideas in my head on what I'd like to run next so now it's time to ask potential players what they might like to play.
Here are the two ideas I'm considering:
1) A traditional, silver age supers game heavily based off a video game from a decade ago. More light-hearted (spandex and one-liners) and linear than the current Chimera game, it would involve the super heroes cleaning up the city and in the process saving the world!
2) A fantasy game! I have a collection of OD&D modules that would be fun to convert to BASH! I would probably use the Dresden-verse as a guide rather than traditional TSR-Tolkien for the setting. There would be a lot of dungeon crawling/ bad guy bashing but could turn into something more if players are having fun and stick around for an adventure or two.
I'd like to hear what potential players are interested in. If neither of these ideas strikes your fancy, throw one out that does! It might inspire me, you never know.

I would like to secure a spot in whatever you want to run. Unfortunately, I prefer both options equally.
cheers

Coolness.
Guess I should throw out a cap of 5 players, so 3 remaining.
Keep in mind, whatever game we all decide on probably won't start for a month or so. I'm aiming for June 12th, date subject to change.

OK. If you twist my arm for a preference, I would like to play in the Dresden-verse. (Sorry Mercer) I really love Dresden and am disappointed with the new Dresden RPG. I traded emails with Jim Butcher to find out that it just so happens that he is old friends with the guys that licensed the rights for the game. Oh well.
That said, I like Silver Age too.
cheers

Usually I like grittier and darker settings, so in this I'm with Saker - I like the underground/double society feel of Butchers books. Now that I'm thinking about it, I believe the "no one is going to be thankful" and "anti-hero" feel of it, has some appeal.
Maybe the heroes are part of a organization that regulates and controls the supernatural, and tries to make them invisible to the normal man. A MIB like organization for fantasy world? New recruits being tested? Agents having to recover parts of the keys of the gate of oblivion? Destroying a vampire lord that has been augmenting his prey zone? A new cult is trying to bring an old forgotten god to power? A ghost is tormenting a building?
In the end though, the police will be trying to catch you, your girlfriend will still think your job sucks, etc.
On the other hand a simple SH game is also nice to break the norm, and portraying "Goody Good Guy" could be fun.

Hey Dustland
How much of a fan of Dresden are you? Do you want to put it in there? Maybe pick another city than Chicago and select a timeframe in reference to the Wizard - Red Court war.
cheers

In my neck of the woods, I have had nothing to play
but gritty dark games, so a straight-forward Silver/Bronze Age game would be a pleasant change of scenery for me.
As long as we didn't take it
too far ("Jeepers, Mr. America! That was swell how you thwarted The Evil Gourmet's plan to steal the world's supply of Gooey Yummy Fruit Pies!"), I'd be happy to join in the mayhem.

I am a HUGE fan, though a late comer to Butcher's works (I just finished my 5th DF book this weekend). I also picked up the DFRPG this weekend; honestly I was hoping for more setting fluff but instead all I got was a rehash of the wikipedia entries.
As to running a straight up modern Dresden game, I don't think I'd do it justice (those stories are incredible!). I've tried to run/play in too many Dragon Lance games and I'm afraid it would turn out the same, a pale reflection of the true wonder of the novels
Bastardizing the Dresdenverse to turn it into a medieval/fantasy game is about as close as I want to get to cannon.

You have my permission to shoot me if I EVER utter a phrase approaching this! I can't speak for the players though...

I stand reassured.
Somebody mentioned Freedom Force and it reminded me of how I was unable to get very far in the game before the constant "MUST... MAKE... EVERY... STATEMENT... SOUND... DRAMATIC!!!!" dialog got reeeeally annoying.

Well I believe that's 3 to 2 in favor of the Silver Age game.
Protheuz and Saker, you guys still up for a seat in the game?
Also if Boost gets back to gaming, he's of course more than welcome to join regardless of the number of players.
More info to come in the next few days hopefully.
