Basic Action Super Heroes!

A few days go by uneventfully as you all try to figure out what to do with yourselves. The NHSC security blimps continue their slow orbit over Horizon City, their presence taking on a more menacing tone with the knowledge that some rogue AI might be watching you from high above.

Fenris paces the alleyways of HC, waiting for the doctor to call, trying to not put too much faith in his ability to cure him. Nyx works on finishing up his course work for the semester, trying to lead a normal life despite being anything but normal. Fortunately the Doorman doesn't come around to pester him. Overdrive gets to spend some much needed down time with his love.

You all gather at Sarah's Diner one evening, savoring buttermilk pancakes by the dozen. The conversation bounces around as everyone tries not to make this a "superhero" meeting and just try to relax and enjoy yourselves. The text message sent to each of you ends the charade.

Captain Marshall has requested the team's help with a riot at the Horizon City Mental Hospital. Get out there as soon as possible.-The Doorman.

Suprised looks from everyone, it's the first any of you have heard from the Doorman. If you've tried to contact him, he hasn't returned your calls, but now he's calling you all in on some trouble at the state hospital just outside of town...

How far is it from the diner?

"Nycto, can you take everyone? Or should we go as fast as we can?" Fenris asks. He gets up and ready to leave. He makes eye contact with Sarah and nods.

Harrison winces, coolly seated on a bench seat
"Charming... a ride to Psycho land. Exactly what we need!"

He asks Sarah with a wink , pointing at the hypothetical Tv.
"Hey, beautiful! Could you switch that thing on? Maybe the local news are already on the scene?"

Javier sighs. "Man, if this kinda s**t starts happening more often, we gotta get ourselves a van or SUV, or somethin'."

He glances out the diner window towards the small parking lot. "Don' see nothin' useful to comandeer, unless we want to start stoppin' cars out on the road. So, yeah, Nycto, can you give us a lift?"

As Nycto gets the notice he thinks Mental Hospital? Not again...

Nycto looks around, concern and agitation showing in his human face. For a moment you believe he isn't listening to your questions, but somehow he says in a shaky voice "Sure... It'll take a moment. Gather around."

As he says that, the shadows swirl from the room and envelop, bit by bit, Nyctos flesh, his body gaining color, and loosing opacity.

His eyes glisten with fiery red mist, and his form becomes insubstancial.

Nycto will transform, into his shadow self, and will PowerStunt the shadow control for the teleport 1 (usable on others), burst, taking everyone, when ready to a place near the Mental hospital..
He will wait for the news (to see if there's info).

Sarah blushes for a moment before laughing and flipping the tv to the local news.

The FBI was seen raiding his residence in Terrace Hills after having arrested him at his Horizon City lab, sources close to the case say. It is known that Dr Walker has worked on sensative government defense projects in the past, but it unclear what he was working on here in HC. No other information is available at this time.

"Your HC weather forcast is next!"

Harrison asks
"Dr Herbert Walker? Does it ring a bell ?
(I'm not sure Fenris told us his little discovery)

He shrugs
"No hints about our problem anyway...

"Not good." Fenris growls. "Remind me to tell you some secrets after our mission, in case some one tries to take me out." Fenris looks far away for a second and continues, "Grrrr. Guys, this mission may actually be a trap, so don't trust anyone but us, especially if some one tells us the problem is inside a fortified cell. Could we please go investigate, so they can shut the door behind us."

"Unless they use one of those guns Marshall had I can take you all away through the shadows... At least I hope so..." answers Nycto "But if we are in this, we should, at least check it out."

"Remind me to tell you some secrets after our mission, in case some one tries to take me out."

Harrison jokes
"And if he succeed , your secrets die with you. Seriously?
What the * are you talking about? What do you know which could get you killed?
They tried to bomb us at first remember?"

"Grrrr. Guys, this mission may actually be a trap, so don't trust anyone but us, especially if some one tells us the problem is inside a fortified cell. Could we please go investigate, so they can shut the door behind us."

"Unless they use one of those guns Marshall had I can take you all away through the shadows... At least I hope so..." answers Nycto "But if we are in this, we should, at least check it out."

"If that's indeed a trap you can be sure we'll see planty of those fancy toys...
What about a recon squad? Some of us could...take a look first?"

Harrison jokes
"And if he succeed , your secrets die with you. Seriously?
What the * are you talking about? What do you know which could get you killed?

Fenris growls, "Let's focus on the mission first. Stay wary of an ambush using those Marshall's guns. My secrets can wait."

"If scouting is needed, I think I'm the best one to do it? But I think it's best to drop you near the place, and them enter the building, and call you guys if needed." Says Nycto. Alone in the mental hospital...

Javier shakes his head. "If we're dealing with a potential back-stab, the last thing we need to do is separate. Recon is a good idea, but not solo."

He frowns in thought. "Drop us off nearby and take..." he pauses then points to Overdrive, "OD here with you. Call me on your cell and keep the call open. Dammit, we need better comms!"

Fenris imagines the shiny Overdrive outfit and suggests, "Let me go with Nycto. I can be very stealthy. Not as much as a shadow, but I can hold my own. Plus I've enhanced senses for recon.

"I agree with Javier. Recon is good, but no solo."
