Nestor, roll Javi's fire damage on your turn twice and I'll resolve it then (assuming he's still in the fight!)
Overdrive's next, then Javi.
Really? The way I read the rules, Tony would just need to roll his Soak again to see if he takes damage against the original damage roll. Not that I wouldn't love to improve on the crappy damage roll I did, but I wouldn't want to deviate from RAW just because.

I thought so too until I reread the power; the second to last sentence in the Continual Damage description says "damage is rerolled every page as well".
Plus, rolling damage is fun!
I like the new Javi build; I'll take a closer look after work, but he looks a bit more "survivable".
Nestor:
If it were me I would make some changes to Javier.
I would give him a weakness to extreme cold (he would take 2times the damage from a cold attack or ambient hazard) gaining 2 pts
Then I would give him deflect 1 or 2 (depends if you want to be 25 or 26 points) to bump the dodge a bit, giving Javier more survivability. The image of the power working is also cool - Javier sending small fireballs that explode, creating controled blasts that deflect the attack path.

I give up. Every time I think I have a power figured out, some passage that I've somehow overlooked comes up and makes me look like an idiot.
I will await my turn and roll dem bones!

Absolutely no argument there, sir.

Huh. Hadn't thought of that. Of course, this would probably inspire Dustland to include a cold-based villain to the Rogue's Gallery (Dr. Frostbite or Popsicle-Man) but chances are that was already in the works.

I toyed with buying Deflect, but figured I didn't have the points. One question: Am I correct in interpreting the power description as saying it applies to all attacks, both ranged and hand-to-hand?
You can also lose a point off your multi-power by giving all the fire based attacks the limitation that they are negated by water. This would make the most expensive of the powers cost five points, bringing your cost to 10.
Brings up the concern that you'd be useless against a water villain, but that's what teammates are for.
Besides, if there is a water villain, he'd most likely be engaging my new character in a theme war
I think Tony escaped Fenris's Restrain. Fenris only rolls x4 for Brawn wrestling Restrain. I accidently initially put x5 which got 45. I left that roll on the post for disclosure.
My new roll at x4 was 28 to Restrain Him, so I think that he can bash away. Sorry about the confusion.

That's a bit much, IMO. I'm already limiting his effectiveness with using the Multi-Power option by only having one fire power active at one time. While I could see water being a defense against Javier's attacks, I don't see it totally negating them.
(Villain throws up a wall of water against Javier's fire blast. Guess what? Super-heated steam hurts. A lot. Have a nice day, bee-yotch. )
FYI, I updated the character sheet in my post above, adding the Weakness and the Deflect. Thanks for the help, guys!
