Hi,
It's not an external roller, it is built into the forum posts itself. When you are writing a post, you can use either of the following (without the spaces):
[ dice ]1d6[ /dice] - this makes a normal dice roll
[ bash ]3[ /bash ] or [ bash ]3,2,5 [ /bash ] - this makes a Bash roll. The first number is the multiplier, and it is the only required number. If you add a second number it is the dice modifier. And if you add a third number it is the result modifier. For more details, you can see
this thread.
As for picking the results, to some extent it is an honor system, but it is partially controlled by the system. If you go back and edit the post after the first time, the roll will be marked with the word "Fixed" indicating it was possibly changed. And if you restart from scratch, the little message indicating how many times you edited the post will go up, which should be a red flag too. That's why it is best to not go back and re-edit your posts after making a roll, just to avoid any doubts. If you want to make a roll and see the result before describing your next action, do it in two separate posts rather than editing the first one.
