His steel-blue eyes glitter with rage as he snaps the gun to a firing position and is about to execute the unconscious man...

Fenris immediately steps between Marshall and the Original Eckel. "If you shoot me, I'll take your arms off at the shoulder." He rumbles.

The blinfolded Overdrive stay still but try to argue.
"Hey! Hold on a second. The situation is critical but let's take it easy.
Guys, don't do something you will regret...

If ending that single life for the sake of the whole city was the only answer... we'd do it...

But captain, we're not 100% sure switching him off one way or another will solve our problem for good.
In that case we need to keep him alive so the scientists can study him and find a solution... "

Like erasing the Nova-powers from the whole country..., he thinks

Finally he adds
"Where's Nycto? He's still fighting inside the ward?"

Still having problems with the site, sorry

Nycto emerges in search of his companions, followed by three shadow swordsmen.

The shadows swirls as Nycto sees what's going on and says to Marshall "Don't be another Mumbles (I believe is the name of the officer that killed Al'Malik)"

Officer Grumbles I will remember to maintain a gallery of NPCs for the next game.

Capt Marshall looks like he's considering shooting all of you, but he snarls and puts the gun down, cursing under his breath.

Addressing Fenris he replies,"I've seen what they can do, contain him, right? Just like that rockguy they keep locked up in the jail? I've also seen what happens when they turn off their little battery thing and you go superman again." He looks Fenris in the eyes. "So do you. Think about it."

But captain, we're not 100% sure switching him off one way or another will solve our problem for good.

"God you're a Boyscout. Well, killing him sure can't hurt matters, right? It's a start at least."

Don't be another Grumbles.

He stares at you coldly then turns around and begins to walk away. "Things have changed since then. You guys want to pretend they haven't? Fine. But any other novas that cross me again are getting two in the chest and one in the head, Eckel or no Eckel," he yells over his shoulder as he walks through the hole in the ward's wall and into the hospital.

Javier follows the police captain's departure with his eyes, his face a mask.

"Jara puñeta," he mutters in disgust.

With a shake of his head, he turns to the group. "So, what're we doin' again?" he asks gruffly.

Fenris tucks the sack of Eckels under his arm shielding him from Marshall and moves to shadow teleport position.

Javier pointedly closes his hands into fists, snuffing the flames sprouting from them, and stands by Nycto with arms crossed.

You all 'port to the area just outside of the police station. You arrive to find police in full riot gear milling about, obviously warned that danger's coming. You just hope that the captain hasn't decided that danger includes you guys.

An officer spots you and quickly shoulders his weapon. Another one grabs him by his arm and pulls him back. "Those are the guys the Captain said would be coming over." He walks over to your group, looking up and down the deserted streets wearily as he does.

A trio of "Little Bird" helos go zipping overhead, heading west towards the mountains just beyond the city limits. You recognize them as NHSC's helicopters and you wonder where they're running off to.

"Captain Marshall said you guys would be stopping by. What can I do for you fellas?" the cop asks. He's wearing a look of concern, obviously aware of the crap storm that's probably heading to his town, if it hasn't already arrived. He * his head in quiet confusion at the bagged Eckel Fenris' carrying with him but doesn't say anything.

"The lab." Fenris growls. "Escort us to the lab. And find the senior assistant. He's probably running the lab now." Fenris starts walking to the lab, since he knows the direction expecting everyone to get out of his way.

The officer shifts his weight nervously, glancing around for a moment. "There's not much left down there. After that doctor got nabbed by the feds, they shut this operation down, packed up everything and headed out. Apparently he was never authorized to have some of this stuff out of whatever lab they were working out of before they showed up here.

"We all had to sign non-disclosure contracts, saying they could throw us in a deep dark hole if we talked about what we saw down there."

"Show me anyway," Fenris growls, half hoping he's lying.

He nods and leads you all into the police station and down into the basement. He opens the door and you find the area stripped clean of everything but the lights overhead.

"Javier, please call the Doorman." Fenris growls as companionably as he can muster. "We need to find his location immediately. He is the one who created the Novas, and he knows how to turn them off, at least temporarily." He pants a few times and rumbles, "I don't think I can be very diplomatic with him at the moment."

"The doorman is behind us? all of this?" Asks Nycto.

"damm Fenris that was an important thing for us to know ASAP..."

Nycto breath heavily and says "That's for later... We have to find those Feds. They're probably near the mountains, where we saw those blimps."

"Would it have a made a difference entering that psych ward? Why don't you call him?" Fenris continues to pant.
