As Numinous's hand of light grab Hammer Hurricane, Detective Zero pounce on the villain, his arm Blaster raised.

The attack hits Hammer Hurricane like a blast from the sun itself!

There is a massive explosion throwing up tons of debris and dirt, obscuring vision for only a second or two.

When it all clears there is a hole in the cement floor that goes down one more level to the next parkade below.

There is no sign of Hammer Hurricane.

Narrator's Voice: You defeated him and I am spending a Villain Point to make good his escape... for now

The Mayor steps out from his protection and nods to the goons still laying about the battlefield.

"You folks want to prep them for pick up by the Police?"

"Well that was embarrassing," The Elemental grumbles as he self-consciously attempts to gather up the broken bits of concrete from the wall he had just slammed into. He craddles the rubble in his massive rocky arms and plods his way over to the group, looking like a two year old that just lost his puppy.

"My apologies Mayor, I seem to have broken your garage," and with a ridiculously gentle motion, sets the debris at the mayor's feet.

"Don't worry about it, it'll be good for the city... create a few jobs to come down here and fix all of this..." the Mayor Waves his hand absently at the carnage.

In the distance the sound of approaching sirens let's you know that Centropolis' finest are on their way.

"Once these mooks are all taken care of, I would like to continue our little chat." He mutters to himself "Shame that Free-Runner ran... gonna have to find a replacement for him."

A soft yellow glow emits from Tempest and reaches out towards the defeated thugs, and they are gently moved together. The light then brightens and firms into a force dome, imprisoning them.

"That should hold them for now."

OOC: Telekinesis and Force Field, over the course of a few moments.

As he finishes that, he walks towards the hole where Hurricane disappeared and looks down it speculatively.

OOC: Using the limited built-in sensing ability of his Kinetic Mastery power to see if he can sense the super-fast movement of Hammer Hurricane. I don't expect to be able to track him, but am wondering if I can get a feel what general direction (north, south, etc.) he might be heading.

Then he face mindstream's chosen one and smile.

"Thank you, Detective Zero, next time I'll put super glue on the palm." Numinous admires the dome Tempest creates, thinking she might have gone for an over sized birdcage instead.

Turning to The Elemental she says "I think we all contributed to the breakage, Elemental, and you did a great job with the driver."

Then she turns her attention back to the Mayor, while keeping an eye out for other ... interruptions.

Detective Zero look around, observing everyone, heroes and civilians.
"It's rare that a super-humans battle ends without property damage . It's the first time that we have to work as a team and we've got no casualties to deplore. That's not bad for the new centurions. Too bad FontRunner had to go..."

He face Mr Drake
"Mr Mayor,May I suggest that we continue our discussion in a place more comfortable?"

The clean up takes moments once the Police arrive. The goons are taken away and then the mayor leads you all to an elevator with a large "C" in a Legionnaire's helmet on it.

[Please make Mind vs 20 rolls to know what that symbol means.

As you all load in to the elevator (yes it is really that large) the mayor begins to speak;

"I am pretty sure you are all ware of what has happened to our beautiful city since the departure of it's 'so-called' protectors. I don't need to tell you all about the uncontrolled crime, the rampant corruption and the general decline in property values."

The elevator keeps climbing, the "Girl From Ipanema" is playing in musak, adding a very David Lynch-esque feel to it all.

"No you have all done your part to help turn the tide, but as individuals you haven't made much headway. You work at cross odds, you arrest one or two at a time, but really the problem is so much larger than you. If only there was a way that you could pool your efforts. Come together with the resources of the city behind you and the strength that only being a team of one can have."

The elevator door 'dings' and the it stops. The doors open and you all step out into a room that you have all seen many times in the past, on tv and in the papers, the lounge of the Centurions!

"As of today, I am making you all an offer. To take up the mantle that those who came before you have left behind. Today I am asking you all to become the NEW Centurions!"

He smiles as he watches your reactions.

Come on! I've got photographic memory!

The mayor's speech made sense.
And everyone had guess where this reunion could lead.
And yet, Zero hesitates.
It would mean the end of his detective's duo with Emily.
A team of heroes would have ennemies at his scale. It would be too dangerous for her...
When she worked solo, Emily was often reckless.He would't be able to keep and eye on her.
Zero lowered his head, doubting.
