X-men using 15 pts

Over the holidays, I tinkered with BASH and built a bunch of X-men using 15 points.

My regular gaming group occasionally misfires with a missing GM or lack of player quorum (needs 3 of 4). This week was the first such misfire (missing GM), so I pulled out my BASH X-men and ran.

The three players chose Beast, Colossus and Quicksilver and recruited Kitty Pryde to Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. After attempting soft recruiting, they had to save Kitty and her family from a five agents and a Mark 1 Sentinel.

Everyone had a surprisingly good time.

That sounds like a good strategy for a pick-up game and a great way to give BASH some exposure. You have a familiar setting and a pool of immediately recognizable characters to choose from. Players can grab the hero that most interests them and BAM, your playing inside 10-15 minutes. AWESOME!

Exactly. We tried a 25 point game a year ago. It didn't go as well, because I'm not a great GM and the players don't have a bunch of supers experience, unlike me. The flexibility of the game mechanics overwhelmed our Pathfinder-trained players.

Here are the builds of the three chosen player characters:
BEAST
BAM = 3, 2, 3
Heightened Agility
Frightening Presence & Freak

COLOSSUS
BAM = 3, 1, 1
Density Increase 1
Immunity 2 (suffocation & starvation)
Heightened Brawn
Instant Change & Normal (1+3, 1, 1)

QUICKSILVER
BAM = 1, 1, 1
Super Speed 5
Boost Brawn 1 (x2 damage)
Healing 1
Disarm Expert

SENTINEL Mark 1 (20 points)
BAM = 2, 1, 1
Super Senses 1 (Mutant detection)
Keen Senses 1 (Mutant detection x4)
Density Increase 1
Flight 2
Special Attack 4 (Range Mid, x2 hit, x4 damage)
Unliving & Freak

Cool. Maybe this can become a regular thing.
