BASHMAN???

That's a toss-up right now as release dates depend on a lot of things. It's not just how complete the manuscript is, it is also having all the art, someone reliable hired to do the layout (that delayed BASH! UE by a matter of months until I finally found the talented Ryan Lee).

At this point, it is too soon to say which will be done first.

Cool! [Personally, I'm crossing fingers for Awesome Powers book first.]

Same here but at the same time I would really like to get my hands on Bash Fantasy UE.

Know what Legends of Steel looks like, how much would it take to make a complete version of Bash! Fantasy UE?

I'd like an answer to that as well (when a BASH UE Fantasy edition may be out).

The news of the new D&D version has me at least thinking again of a fantasy setting and don't want to purchase the old BASH Fantasy if a new UE version is not too far out.

BASH! Fantasy UE will be built from the same engine as Legends of Steel. What it will have more of is a toolbox to make your own stuff.

For instance, there won't be a bunch of fantasy races in Legends of Steel; the setting presumes human characters. Does it have stuff you can use to make races? Yes, because we needed those same tools to build the monsters you'll find in the book.

But BASH! Fantasy UE will have at least a dozen pre-made races for you to use or not use in your campaigns.

Legends of Steel comes with its own setting, which is specific to the Sword & Sorcery genre. Fantasy UE will have a number of subgenres of fantasy addressed, but no specific settings. It is a toolbox for developing (or converting) your own.

So Fantasy UE will have Arabian Nights, Urban Fantasy, etc, in it, but it won't have specific gods, countries, etc, like Legends of Steel will have.

Well, that was the "what"....still don't have the "when".

Is this due in 2012?

PS - thanks for the info...want it even more now....

Date of publication????

Maybe he doesn't have a date of publication yet. Remember, Basic Action Games is just BASHMAN, and since he's got Honor & Intrigue to prep for print, finish up Legends of Steel BASH, Gorilla Revolution, and the first installment of Awesome Powers (plus, iirc, the next installment of Character Cavalcade for BASH UE), it's probable that it won't be out in 2012. I could be wrong, but with all those things to be done first, I'm pretty sure this year is all ready tied down

My mind is so on BASH! Character creation that I'm thinking "he could really do with the Duplication, Super Speed powers". :-P
