What conversions or new settings would you like to see?

Hello all,
Just got a copy of BASH! Sci-Fi, and I'm going through it. So far, I'm loving it.
So, what kind of conversions or new settings would people like to see, when I get inspired to post? Personally, I'd like to see something for Stargate, maybe Babylon 5, and maybe Star Trek. I've even thought about using BASH! Sci-Fi for a Thundarr the Barbarian campaign...
Any other suggestions?
Jak

A pulp-ish "Journey to the Center of the Earth" or Sword & Planet ala "Barsoom" type thing may be cool.

Red Dwarf, though Star Trek would be cool.

It's more obscure, but I'd love to know if BASH! Sci-Fi could handle large-scale conflicts like in
Super Robot Wars. With dozens of 10-50 meter tall robots with pilots ranging from grizzled veterans to psychic teenagers.

are there plans to update BASH! Sci-fi to the Ultimate rules edition? I guess this could also extend to fantasy as well.

I'm going to say it, I don't care I have no shame. None I tell you. (this is a story for another time).
Star Wars
Yeah there, I said it.
Just whilst I'm here invading the BASH! forum again - what's BASH Sci-Fi like. I have BASH! UE and think it will be a blast for my supers, but am looking for something more than awesome for running a SW game - D6 is out of print and I have issue with it anyway and I'm not a fan of D20.
Sooooo, does BASH Sci-Fi lend itself well to doing a SW game - easily converted for SW aliens/ships/planets etc?
Am I going to end up getting it just to find there's going to be a Ultimate Edition out a few months later?
Would it also be able to do things like Blade Runner (and I think Red Dwarf would also be cool!)
I'm going to ask yet more questions, I do that you see...
I take it that the stats are the same Agility, Mind, Brawn as BASH! UE? However do they work on the same scale 1-5 with 5 being god like, or is it more of a "human scale" or something similar?
I've heard it does mech and robotics well - but what about psionics/other jedi-y type things?
Okay, I've worn myself out for now so I'll stop. For now.

Yes- Space Opera is the simplest genre to run with it, and there are rules for making your own alien races, droids, planets, etc. You can easily make SW anything with it. Some alien races like the Ifurians and Wokana need almost no conversion at all. Psionics covers "the Force", and the "Psi Rangers" can easily be reskinned as Jedi. Likewise, the Startroopers can easily be reskinned as Stormtroopers.
Am I going to end up getting it just to find there's going to be a Ultimate Edition out a few months later?
No. There are no plans for a "new" sci-fi edition in the near future.

Yes. There is an entire section on various subgenres of sci-fi. Dystopic dark futures are covered therein, as are replicants.

It is the same stats, 1-5 but you are right, they are at a different scale, which is referred to as "Heroic Scale" (as opposed to BASH! UE which is "Superheroic Scale"). There are rules for converting it though.

Yes. There are 4 "sources" of powers in this edition. Mundane (which is either training or background), Biogenic (Alien, Bio-Engineering, or Mutation), Mechanical (Cyborg, Robot, even Hologram characters can be made), and Psionic. Some powers can be done with multiple different sources (Leap for instance can be Psionic using TK to lift you, while a Biogenic source would be powerful legs, and a Mechanical version might involve springs/boosters in the legs).

Cool. Would you be able to expand upon that at all (without obviously having to reproduce the book).
For example if I were to build a small alien would it end up having a disadvantage to an existing scale - ie. both human and Eyewok have A and B at 1 but Eyewok has a disadvantage of "small".
Or would an "average" Eyewok just have a lesser A & B stat than an "average" human?
EDIT: think the above example has been answered by going through BAM issues. However, I'd still love to know what the sci fi 1-5 scale corresponds to.

I think that Small is just a die penalty on your Brawn, + Result penalty to Soak & Damage, and a Dice bonus on your Agility rolls. There are no races that have a -1 Penalty on stats- the way the game deals with it is "Maximums and Minimums" for certain races. For instance, a Human's max Brawn or Agility is a 4. A 5 represents something super-human. A race like an Ewok would probably have a Maximum Brawn of 2 or 3, and also be Small. But in BASH! SF, Small is a Disad, not a power, so you don't "pay points" for the privilege of being small.

That, unfortunately is a negative. Unlike BASH! UE, I did not do a "mass print run" of BASH! Sci-Fi, ergo haven't put it into distribution. It is available on Amazon.com, but that is through Lulu, which would mean having to pay Lulu's shipping (which I'm told, is crazy expensive).
However, if you want, you could have me buy a copy from lulu, then mail it to you. Even with the shipping of it coming to me from Lulu, then me mailing it across the Atlantic, it would *still* be less cost than Lulu's shipping. At some point I think I should do a larger print run of BASH! Sci-Fi- but I wasn't sure that there was enough demand there for it to justify the cost. Maybe I should re-think that.

oh dear, yeah I looked at the post and packaging with Lulu and it's the same price as the book itself which is (at least according to my better half) on the expensive side of things.
Whilst I can get the pdf I am a sucker for dead tree variety, with using the pdf as a reference more than anything.
Do let me know if you're going to do a larger print run of it (esp if it's a pdf. bundle)- as it seems to be another thing that I really want
I might take you up on your offer though
EDIT: Was calling BASH! Sci-Fi, Basic Action System Heroes and not BASH! Sci-Fi Basic Action Space Heroes due to it just be far too obvious a title
