In space combat when attacking it seems to be the pilot that resolves the attack.
If I was to have a ship that had say, two gun turrets on it like in a certain space opera movie, and they were operated by two players whilst the flying was done by the pilot how would I go about running it? - I guess if there was just one co-pilot who was operating the weapons I could have them roll the attack, but if there's two or more gunners and only one attack to be made...
I feel I am missing something obvious, but want to be able to keep other players in the ship apart from the pilot player happy and involved.
@Bashman - Btw, I like the name "Centurion Eagle" on p60 for the blockade runner. That certain sci-fi reference/play on words isn't lost on me - I used the name Centurion Osprey (the Ossie) myself as my name for a flying pirate ship in an Exalted game I was in.

In dogfights, yes, the pilot usually rolls- but the book does mention that there can be exceptions.
The ship you're talking about is size 3 which is a very big Light vehicle. The ship gets 2 attacks (half vehicle size, Round Up = # of attacks/page), you could have the pilot roll only for the flying stuff (like dodging enemy attacks, trying to maneuver through an asteroid field, etc), and two other people each roll for the turrets. That gives you 3 players each with their own stuff to do. The article I mentioned above could give you more than that (stuff for the doctor, comm officer, etc to do).
There was an article in BAM! #3 called Capital Ship Showdown that has rules and ideas for giving everyone on the ship something to do in any combat.
