BASH! Sci Fi at Lulu - good shipping costs (UK)

For some reason when I when I first went to use Lulu to buy Bash! Sci Fi edition the shipping (to the UK) came to more than the cost of the book itself.
I don't know if this was my mistake or a mistake on Lulu.
However, I had moaned about the cost on this forum and have since been told that the shipping is from £2.99. I have rechecked Lulu and this is indeed the price.
I have since (and only just now) bought Bash! Sci Fi edition from Lulu.
I apologize for getting my facts wrong to begin with and sincerely hope that I haven't put off anyone from buying the book through Lulu (or any other place). To have done so was never my intention.
BASH! and it's products are all high quality and I hope to purchase further supplements and books in the future (and will certainly do my rearch better before moaning to people about high shipping costs). Big apologies all round, especially to BASHMAN!
I will endeavour to pick up a pdf. copy as well when I can afford it to make amends.

Lulu at least USED to have some awful shipping prices outside of the US. It came up all the time on various boards. I believe that policy has since been revisited.

That's good to hear - in that it's good to hear it wasn't me just making up figures by misreading the shipping costs...

I've just had (well my wife has just had) a baby girl! born 9.17pm (I don't think I'm allowed to put it on facebook yet but had to tell someone).
I think my nickname for her will have to be BASHGIRL!
(don't tell her mum)
(and is it too weird in my over tired state that I want to stat up her superpowers...)

I'm flattered, but please, what's wrong with a more traditional girl's name? Your daughter will thank you for not being named "BASHGIRL".

hahah
nick name!
I like BASH a lot but I feel Bashgirl might be reserved for my secret superhero name for her. Right, now to the Bashgirl mobile, AWAY!

Thanks to everyone who offered their congratulations.
Wanted to say that I've now got to page 50 of BASH! Sci-Fi which I feel is pretty impressive considering I have a newborn. I love the book and feel it deserves a good long review by yours truely sometime soon. I might well have to put down my trusty D6 Star Wars game in favour of this and throw out my Saga Edition.*
However I might have to dispute the fatigue rules as I'm managing just fine on 3 hrs sleep a night and an Energy of 0. But then again, bringing up babies and shooting aliens all night and day are not necessarily the same thing really when it comes to levels of fatigue. *, maybe I've just got a bigger personal pool of Hero points.
...Or maybe the fatigue levels in BASH are just fine and I'm so tired that I'm confusing role playing games and real life...
anway, must go and change the space ship.
baby, I mean baby.
*yeah I was going to do that anyway

Glad to hear all is well
Will there be a UE version of BASH Sci-Fi?

@AngryGhost - glad your enjoying the book. The fatigue rules in BASH! SF assume that you're using psionic powers, leaping across chasms, and dual wielding energy-swords all day, so it isn't quite the same
@AslanC- Not anytime soon. BASH! Sci-Fi is basically Edition 1.5, or more like 1.75. The tweaks to bring it in line with BASH! UE are relatively minor (change Radius to Burst for instance, give the ranged weapons set damage [simply add 2 to the listed DM and use that as the base damage]). Right now I am working on Legends of Steel which is a revision of BASH! Fantasy in its own detailed setting- and I am borrowing both from BASH! UE and BASH! SF in designing the rules. I never say never, but an update to BASH! SF isn't high on my priority list, as I think the game works just about right as it already is. A future edition with more original art and updating the rules to include those tweaks I mentioned above is possible, but not soon.
