Burst rules

I just read over your fine product a day or two ago and wanted a little clarification.
On page 32 of the pdf it says
Some weapons can be
used to “burst” fire by rattling off an entire full load of
ammo in a single panel. This is called the “spray and
pray” method of firing, as you sacrifice accuracy for
the chance to strike more targets. Effectively, this
gives you a -1 Agility to hit, but increases the radius of
the attack by 1. A weapon that has “burst 2” can burst
twice, each time, using up half of a full load of ammo,
a “burst 3” weapon could burst 3 times, each using a
third of the ammo, etc.
What is the benefit of increasing the radius of the attack? If a weapon has burst can it fire in single shot?
I think it would really be cleared up nicely if I saw how the mechanic worked in game through some examples of play or something.
Other than that a fine product with interesting mechanics. Keep up the good work!
