BASH Sci-Fi Errata

Post by pineappleleader »

This is a re-post from the old forum:

BASH Sci-Fi page 49, chase scenes, the following paragraph is very confusing. Two different results are listed for "20 or less". How should it read?

PAGE 49 BASH Sci-Fi
"If the result is 10 or less, you crash. The chase is over, and you
will suffer the consequences of running into the obstacle, or take
damage equal to your vehicle's inertia rating or x5, whichever is
greater. If the result is 20 or less, you spin out, or are slowed down in some way, getting a -30 to your chase tally for this page. If the result is 20 or less, you lose and quickly regain control, taking a -10 to your chase tally. If the result is 21 or greater, you are merely inconvenienced, and your chase tally addition for this page is half the amount."

change to:

If your result is less than 10, you crash
if your result is less than 20, you spin out, get -30 to tally
if it is less than 30, get -10 to tally
if it is 30+, no problem.

Under Knock-Back,
If a character suffers knock-back he is also knocked down

should be added to the sci-fi edition?

Hi guys, Chapter Two - Equipment describes various weapons with Lethal and/or Stun damage but I haven't found any reference on the book about them.
I know the Lethal damage in BASH!, obviously, but how does it function the Stun damage?

The difference is in how long it takes to heal. Check out the rules for healing, you'll see the difference there.

Found it (pag. 48)! Thanks, Chris.
Another question:
In the Equipment section, under the column of damage, there are weapons that have, for example, +3/+5DM and so on while other ones deliver x5/x8Dmg and so on. What is the difference? I don't understand

The difference between something having +2DM and x2 Dmg is that the first case is added to a stat (usually Brawn or Mind). The latter is a set multiplier, not added to any stat.

Something that I would do as an errata or update in the future though would be to change ranged weapons. Instead of doing Mind+2DM, etc, I would simply increase the damage listed by 2DM and remove Mind from the equation. So a +3DM gun would change to x5 Dmg.
