The Harpy

Larissa Harper was never a pretty child, with a long beak-like nose, jagged teeth, and untameable hair. But she could always sing. As she passed through her teen years, her powers fully manifested themselves, she decided to grab her chance for greatness. She has not designed a costume for herself, feeling that her appearance was recognizable enough. Larissa craves the praise and adulation of being a hero. She is The Harpy, and the world will soon know of her!

Interesting concept, nicely done!

I was just curious how the Extended Duration would work for Suggestion. I am guessing an additional Mind check every minute to break free? The book just says, "Minutes"

Looks good! I love me winged sonics :)

Though I must confess when I got to the "she's a hero" part... I was surprised. Her story sounds like one where she tried to be a hero, but society's shallowness and appearance based culture would have driven her to become a villain.

Despite my silliness, well done :)

Thanks. :)

I don't really see her as hideous. In fact, some generously minded people might classify her as "interestingly attractive."
She just isn't what you would call classically beautiful.

I imagine a girl who is barely out of her teens, can't fit into normal society, but has a good enough upbringing to not just start robbing banks, and is smart enough to not want to spend half her life in jail.
Plus, she has a talent. She is probably the greatest singer on earth. Her power can cause people to stare in slack-jawed admiration, but even without it she wouldn't have trouble getting them to listen.

Really cool. As a limitation on that Suggestion power, you could have her be required to sing her suggestions to her target; even softly. It would create a cool visual and save her a point.

Interesting idea, but 1) I don't see it being that much of a Limitation, since it's just as easy to sing as to talk, so the "limitation" becomes more of a flavor thing.
2) Maybe it's just me, but I always found that impromptu sing-talking to be rather lame. ;)
and 3) I see her overall voice being beautiful, not just when singing, and she has learned to focus it in different ways.
Suggestion is her purring ideas into your ear, while Daze is her belting out Pink Floyd's The Great Gig in the Sky in a public place. :)

I see. Excellent. Sometimes its hard for the small, abreviated description on the character sheet to fully illustrate a power's effects. The "purring" and Pink Floyd references really help me see where you inspirations where. Thanks.

Powerhouse

Deborah "Dinky" Carmichael was a cheerleader, dancer, and gymnast in her teen years. She is not sure what triggered her superpowers. A perky blonde girl barely five feet tall, she does not look like she could possibly be the strongest human on earth, but she might very well be.
Someone jokingly dubbed her Powerhouse, and it sort of stuck.

Brawn: 5 Agility: 3 Mind: 1

Powers: Armor - 3 pts, Fleet of Foot 1 pt, Swift Strike, 2 pts

Skills: Athletics (Acrobatics, Running), Perform (spec. Dancing. additional: Acting), Humanities (Art)

Advantages: None

Disadvantages: None

Mental Malfunction: Sense of Duty. Dinky is a hero because she feels her powers give her a responsibility to help others.

Breakdown: Stats: 18 pts. Powers: 6 pts. Total: 24 pts.

Back in the old forum, while discussing the particulars of the Boost power, I used as a joking example, the name Seductra the Succubus. I am debating statting her up, but worry that she might be too... fetishy.. for a family forum. ;)

Is it more than PG-13? If not, I don't see it as a problem. You could always make the "animated series" version of her. They made an animated series out of Savage Dragon and WildCATS for crying out loud (two very bloody Iron Age comics from Image).

This is a movie character converted to a 20 pt. Mystery Man level character.
If you haven't seen The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra, and its recently released sequel, The Lost Skeleton Returns Again, see it. Trust me.

Animala
a.k.a. Pammy Yaber
a.k.a. Cantalopea, Goddess of the Cantalopes

“Rowr.”

Brawn: 2
Agility: 3
Mind: 1

Powers:
Claws: Special Attack 1 (1pt)
Seductive Dance: Daze (men only, must dance, can make dazed men follow) (2pt)
Keen Hearing, Keen Smell: (2pt)
Skillful (1pt)
Swift Strike (2pt)

Skills:
Perform (Dance) x3
Athletics (Climbing) x4
Outdoor (Survival) x3

Advantages & Disadvantages:
Appeal
Outsider

Mental Malfunction: Animal-like Personality. Animala is a creature of the moment, curious, sensual and often playful, with a fondness for shiny objects.

History:
Animala was created by the evil Dr. Roger Fleming using a stolen alien device called a Transmutatron, which he used to combine four random forest animals into a more or less human woman. She proved a ridiculously quick study, learning human speech quickly. She joined Dr. Fleming in his quest to reanimate and serve the Lost Skeleton of Cadavra. After the Lost Skeleton’s defeat, the aliens used their Transmutatron to turn Animala back into four animals.
Years later, in the Amazon, a cheap crook named Carl Traeger used the Transmutatron to restore Animala using four random jungle animals. This time, she refused to serve the Lost Skeleton, shaking off his control and leaving to wander the jungle alone. Happening upon the leader of a primitive tribe, she was mistaken for the Goddess of the Cantalopes, and served in that role for a short period. After the Lost Skeleton’s second defeat, Animala left to live happily in the Amazon jungles.

"I don't have to listen to you... Roooooooo-ger!"

Man I love this movie!

Did you know there's a sequel?
