Dragonfly's Nest: FIREFIGHT!

by Dragonfly
Hey folks!

I'm editing this introductory message to serve as a more effective index of all my various write-ups. I'm leaving all my other posts intact, of course, and will continue to post new write-ups in the old fashion for purposes of feedback and discussion, but I'll always add the links here as well for ease of access to those who don't want to wade through all the other stuff.

Many of these characters are presented in two ways - "canon" and "house". The only difference between the two is that the "house" version uses the new Heightened Power presented in BAM #5. Enjoy!

Cheers!

Dragonfly

Okay, I can't figure out how to post the character sheet as images like the rest of you do, so - until then - here are some links.

Cool, Dragonfly!

However, I've found a much better way to share my pdfs with people is to upload them to scribd.

Hi BASHMAN,

Thanks for the suggestion! Scribid IS much nicer! Here they are again:

Question: How do you guys upload the character sheets as images? I'm trying to break through my technology ceiling.

Best,

Dragonfly

You need to have the image hosted somewhere else, like flickr, then you click [img] and paste in the url of your hosted image. Then click [img] again.

You forgot to apply Cat's weapon technique to his "hit" roll with his weapon. Also, Mech's soak doesn't reflect his level in Armor.

Very cool Champions builds. If you have the time maybe you could share the adventures of your group in the campaign in the Actual Play forum, I'm a big Champions Universe fan.

Hi UB!

Thanks! I'd be happy to post over in the Actual Play forum, but I don't know if I have time. I might do it, however. In the meantime, I can give you this link: http://classic-champions.blogspot.com/

This is my campaign blog, which will give you an issue by issue synopsis of the plot so far. I'm only missing one issue - soon to be added. If you can read between the lines, you'll see that VIPER's Nest is being slowly played out in the background, with quite a few villain origins woven in for good measure. Let me know what you think if you get a chance to give it a once over.

Best,

Dragonfly

Thanks BASHMAN! I changed their stats while I was inputing them into the new character sheet and forgot to adjust appropriately.

They are corrected and reposted!

Thanks BASHMAN and KarlGreen for your suggestions. As for Flckr and Photobucket - will my PDFs count as images, or do I need to convert them into another format. It's embarassing to ask something that's probably so basic, but I've got my definite blind spots when it comes to technology. I usually lurk on message boards, and post the occassional message. BASH is the first game to motivate me towards greater (and hence more technically advanced) involvement. :)

Best,

Dragonfly

I currently use GIMP (which is a free graphics program available for WIN or MAC). I use it to open the PDF files, and then simply "Save As" the same file in a GIF format (and you could do it just as easily with JPEG). There may be other image programs/viewers that do it just as easily as well.

Geez, I didn't know GIMP could open PDFs and do that. I spent about 2 hours the other day looking for a free virtual printer driver that could save to image formats for just that reason. Never found one, so this is really helpful. Thanks! :)
