suggestions for powers to give my PCs

Hey Folks,

I'd like some help and suggestions to give my players for making their characters for our upcoming one-shot game of BASH!
Quickly...
The setting/theme is a street level "Mystery Men" game. A slightly parody/comedic type game similar in style to comics like: "the Tick", "Mystery Men", "Nextwave", or "Venture Bros."

If you have ideas for powers/levels or anything that might help the PC build a fun interesting character I'd love suggestions!!
Here's what I have so far from them:

GUS THE DIMENSIONAL
A pawn shop owner, whose pawn shop seems to be a place where interesting gadgets and artifacts find themselves. He has 4-5 of these at any given time. pawn shop owner with strange magic items.

CORN-STAR
With the power to talk to corn, no one thought he could be a hero - especially in Jersey... He's since learned to animate corn and use corn as weapons. able to control/manipulate corn!

RED-SHIRT
Cursed by a gypsy when fighting over the last action figure at a "Space Trek" convention - he now dies and comes back moments later, each time with a random power/ability.

the DISPOSAL
He can eat anything... but he's limited, unlike normal superheros who can just eat and eat, he has a normal human's stomach capacity - so, about 1/2 a cubic foot's worth of material each meal and he's full, 4 meals a day max. His day job is that he gives tours around the city to tourists at mysterious and horror spots for a large tourist company (This way he's useful for his in-depth knowledge of the city). The man himself is barely 5 feet tall, and incredibly skinny. He's in his early 40's and is very prim; sweater, polished shoes, and everything.

THE BEFUDDLER
Criminals and friends alike fear getting unwanted tunes looped in their head, causing Confusion and sometimes Nausia or even Draining Will...

Any ideas for my players?
Or even just a direction to any templates that are in the book or anyone on the forums have made that I can reference??

I'm still learning the best combinations and levels of powers, so I appreciate the help.
thanks!

He clearly has the Conjuration power in the form of random (and handy) items he can pull out from off his person at any time. Since he only has about 4-5 of them, you may want this to be bought with the Charges limitation.
CORN-STAR
With the power to talk to corn, no one thought he could be a hero - especially in Jersey... He's since learned to animate corn and use corn as weapons. able to control/manipulate corn!
X-Mastery (Narrow Focus Limitation (it's corn). This coming issue of BAM! should give you some fun ideas of what to do with this once he gets into a corn field.

Dint Kernal Armor: Armor 1

Pop-Corn-Ball-Bombs (Special Attack 2 LINKED with Immobilize 2, both have short range, small burst) That sticky explosive popcorn is dangerous stuff!

Corn-Cob-Nunchucks (They count as ordinary nunhucks, which do x2 Dmg +Brawn bonus, but he has Weapon Technique with them, giving him +1 Hit & DM with them.
RED-SHIRT
Cursed by a gypsy when fighting over the last action figure at a "Space Trek" convention - he now dies and comes back moments later, each time with a random power/ability.
Okay, this one was a challenge, but I figured it out. Give him "Shape-Shifting" and the "Uncontrollable Change" Disad. His shapeshifting has a limitation: Must change shape whenever he takes 10 damage. So mechanically it would be that he has a certain power/ability, gets shot and "dies" then changes into a different guy with another power/ability, etc. He cannot change shape voluntarily- it only happens when he "dies".

Power to utterly destroy anything, but limited to a cubic foot? Hmmm.

I'd make this power be "Eating: Special Attack 5, +5DM [Limit: doesn't affect living things, Enhancement: Extra Effect +2DM collateral Damage. Limitation: Extra time (I can't eat that fast), Limitation: "I Get Full" which is bought as Burn-Out.

You might also give him Deflect- I eat bullets for breakfast, but somtimes I spit them up.
THE BEFUDDLER
Criminals and friends alike fear getting unwanted tunes looped in their head, causing Confusion and sometimes Nausia or even Draining Will...
Well this is easy enough. Daze power, Confusion power, and Weaken (vs. Mind) power.

PS there is a product line we're working on called "Zeroes" that I think you'll appreciate.

Really? Color me intrigued. What are you thinking - if he's in a corn-field his powers can "maximize" or some such? Like his very own NOVA-BLAST or power ups for being in his "element"?
Getting some "free" x-power levels or something to spend when in that specific situation??
I'm interested!

Love this.
My question... When you say takes 10 damage - I get that, he's a normal person. I really like that, it's inspired. However, are you also suggesting that he would continue reducing from his TOTAL (100 hps) for concerns of total before he's down/out?
And would you not give him the "Immortality" Advantage?

Really!!?!?!! KEWL
I have a ton of material on parody style game ideas, I'd love to chat with you about this one. If you're still working on it. :)
