urbwar's builds (Revised Cosmic characters 10-7-11)

Ok, so I think I finally got Comic Life about figured out. So I started to stat up some of the heroes whose images I posted over on the Sketch pad forum.
First up is a character I designed for a one shot I plan on running in September. He's a take on Wonder Woman, but slightly altered (like no lasso) to reflect his different origin. Here's FDR's favorite Patriape, American Ape!
If anyone can look him over, and make sure I got the totals right, I'd appreciate it. It never hurts to have someone else double check your numbers
Edit: Corrected version now uploaded, with the correct point cost, and text boxes removed!

This is a great character idea.

Point wise, I'm only coming up with 17 pts for powers, not 18.

Thanks Lindharin! I thought it would be a nice twist on the WW concept. I realize I should have written out the points costs I had, so I can find where the mistake is.
I have it broken down as follows:
Deflect - 2 points
Movement Multi- 4 points
Combat Multi - 5 points
Armor - 2 points
Martial Arts Mastery - 1 point
Swift Strike - 2 points
Skillful - 2 points
That comes out to 18, unless I added something up wrong. Help a rookie out here

Ok, cause I figured the cost for the Bear Hug (which is the same as the Constriction attack of The Stretcher template) was 4 points, and with the second power, totals 5. Is it actually only 3?

Well, for the Stretcher, his combat multipower is 4 points total for both the constriction and the body weaponry. The constriction power itself is 3 points (as is body weaponry), so the total = 3+1 = 4 pts.
The reason why Constriction and your Bear Hug are 3 points goes like this: You have 2 pts of Immobilize with a limitation of "no other actions", so it is reduced to 1 point. Added to that is the Linked enhancement which costs +2 points, for a total of 3. The linked power, Continual Damage, cannot be more expensive than the base power of Immobilize, so it becomes Continual Damage 2 with a limit of "no other action" as well, so it isn't more expensive than the Immobilize.
So both your Bear Hug and your Savage Fighter are 3 point powers, and they are in the same power category (Combat), so when you put them in the multipower it will cost just 1 point for the second power.
So the Combat Multipower should be 3 pts + 1 pt = 4 pts. Make sense?

Yes, that makes sense. I will adjust the sheet accordingly.

American Ape is great! I really like the Bear Hug power: very appropriate for such a powerful primate.

Thanks Jupiter! When looking over the templates for power ideas, I thought that the Stretcher's Constriction attack was perfect for a wrestling style Bear Hug. I think he came out pretty good.
Next up: The first actual Superman clone, who had only 1 comic appearance in the Golden Age.....Wonder Man!

Is this the same Wonder Man I used to read in my old Avengers Comics?

Nope. There were about 3-4 characters of that name during the Golden Age. This one (whose image I posted in Sketch Pad) was the first true Superman clone. he had one appearance before DC filed a lawsuit, and was never seen again!
You can read his one and only adventure online
here
As he only had the one adventure, he didn't exhibit many powers (other than some that were just like Superman's back then). Therefore, I didn't really give him much in the way of powers. I didn't give him any special attacks, figuring the damage done via his Brawn should be sufficient. So without further ado, here is the mightiest human on earth......Wonder Man!
Again, please let me know if my point totals are off. Don't think so this time, but another pair of eyes always helps!

Just as cool! Love the costume and art style for this guy. I like that, for a superman clone, he is actually a real human and gets his powers from a magic ring (which I'm guessing is magic and not some kind of super science).

As far as I know, the ring was magical. There were quite a few heroes who had their powers come from Tibet (like Green Lama). What's weird is that he was supposed to be an amateur inventor, so I guess the plan was for him to build some gadgets later on (just a guess on my part).
When reading the comic, he catches a bomb dropped from a plane, which is why I gave him the limited TK. Figured that fit, cause how else can you catch a bomb without it exploding?
up next will likely be Scarlet Siren, another member of the team American Ape is part of.
Scarlet Siren

Monica Farnsworth had it all: looks, money and notoriety. She longed for adventure. Being an accomplished singer, she took off on an Ocean Liner, working as a lounger singer. While sailing near the islands off Greece, she encountered one of the legendary Sirens. The siren had heard her singing, and was enthralled by her voice. In return, she gifted her with the power of the Sirens, charging her to use her new gifts to help, not harm, mankind.
Returning to America, Monica used her fortune to train in unarmed combat (as well as using Brass Knuckles), and various investigative techniques. She also trained herself to use her new found gifts, learning to adjust her pitch and tone to achieve various effects.
Once she completed all her training, she had a costume made, and soon The Scarlet Siren was prowling the streets, taking on the scum of the earth!
Note: She has one extra advantage, so I added a point to the final cost for her powers. Also, I charged 2 points for the Variable enhancement, as I know some cost 2 (and figured variable is one of them). If that's wrong, let me know, and I'll adjust accordingly. Hope you all like her!
Edit: updated with the corrections lindharin suggested.

Variable costs 1 point. I don't have the book in front of me, but off the top of my head the only published advantage that costs 2 points is LINKED (although Extended Duration could range from +1 to +6).
Your Sonic Scream multipower powers don't have a range included, so you could use the one point you get back from Variable's reduced cost to buy Close Range on each of them (and Variable would allow you to swap in a Small Burst, Short Line, etc. instead).
