Another hero famous in Latino America, Kaliman is basically The Phantom with Mental Powers. He originated in the 60's in Cuban Radio, and has been adapted in comic book and movie forms. I myself know him only from the comics which I read as a child. Though kind of obscure today, most people in Latinoamerica are still familiar with at least the name.

Very cool. I was not familiar with Kaliman until you mentioned him. I was able to find some of the comic panels online, will definitely read them later.

The Kaliman comics have a "movie serial" feel to them- for example, every episode ends in a cliffhanger. This is probably due to its origins as a radio show (a fact I did not realize until years later.) Still the art is good and it had cool ideas; Kaliman fought everything from gangsters to mythological gods.

Up next I might adapt another Mexican comic book character, Phantomas, who actually originated as the *villain* in a turn-of-the-century French movie!

Well, I'm working on Phantomas right now, but certainly it would be fun to do the Greatest of Luchadores as well! :)
