any new builds for our build site?

Post by capmarvel »

I go in streaks of "being creative" which usually coincides with the Novi, Michigan Metro-Con.

So, in anticipation of the con next month, I was looking at our build site and noted I haven't done anything new with it in some time.

If anyone has any builds they would like to share please let me know.

Thanks!

I'll take the deafening silence as a big fat "no". :P

Can you tell me anything about this Metro-Con?
Also, do you (or any others) know anything about the Detroit area role-playing gaming scene?

I've just accepted a great new job in Southfield (my brother lives in Northville) and I'll be done with training and moved there by the first week or so of June.

I'd love to know if there are any folks gaming in the area?

It's actually the Motor City Comic Con ... not sure why we call it Metro Con (we're old and forget stuff now). Anyway it's Friday May 17th through May 19th.

Stan Lee is going to be there this year (and there are always other celebrities and artists/writers, etc).

Everyone calls where the old TV/Movie stars sit "Desperation Row" (and when you see the pleading look in there eyes as they try to get anyone to come pay for an autograph you'll know why).

Of course there are exceptions (those with long lines).

Met Lou Ferrigno there and we still laugh cause all we could think was "Man, no one would ever mess with his daughter." He could crush you with his eyelashes.

My brother and I also still talk about Lindsay Wagner (the Bionic Woman)....I mean we would have never thought we'd find someone as old as our Mother as "smoking hot"...but she sure was!

There are tons of book and action figure booths as well.

Anyway, it's always fun and not too far from Southfield (about 20 minutes or so).

This can be a very newcomer friendly publication in that regard, as well as your additional studying area increasing in people information.

Hey Cap, I put up some new fantasy builds on my Dragonlance characters thread. Feel free to post them on the wiki if you like them.

I really like the Grimlor stat build. I like seeing how people build their wizard characters.

Grimlor will probably be rebuilt for the Dragonlance campaign at some point. He's too iconic to go unused. :)
