So, I figured I'd give a shot at creating some characters. I've been working on the site enough it's hard not to get pulled into the system
For practice i thought I'd work on creating sheets for characters i know pretty well. It seems to move pretty smoothly, and gave me a pretty accurate character sheet for one of my favourite characters.
I took one small liberty, and justified an extra point of Soak due to Athletics/Bodybuilding, otherwise I believe everything is straight as written in the UE rulebook.
I know there's lots of interesting new character sheets out there, I figured I'd stick with the one in the back of the book for now

Dr Venture!
This is fun. I'll have to re-watch the series for research purposes for the rest..

Love it Coyote! Nice job on the characters.
Another way to do the whole "bodybuilding/soak" thing within the rules is to give him "Boost: Bodybuilding: Brawn 1 for Soak"
Regardless though, glad to see you attention has been caught

Ok, pretend i'm new at this and elaborate on the Boost? And where would I put that on the sheet?

Boost is under the Powers and what it let's you do is provide a temporary raising of a stat for a specific event or task or situation.

Ah so it is.
Guess I'll have to redo his point value then.

Also, you took Martial Arts - Boxing (a tough style), so as part of that you get +2 soak against unarmed attacks, but not weapons or bullets.
Another way to get the +1 soak "legitimately" is the Armor power, which doesn't have to represent actual armor. It can be anything from a lot of hard muscle to some form of fast regeneration. Anything that represents immediate damage mitigation.

That is awesome! I attended a Venture Bros. game at DunDraCon that was using the BASH! System, and it was a lot of fun. The designer of that adventure is begining to work on a product called "Zeroes" for low/no powered supers game ala the Venture Bros, The Tick, Legion of Substitute Heroes, and Mystery Men. I look forward to putting it out- but nice to see what other people are doing with the game (and *love* the design of those characters).

Right on! I should have known someone did Venture Bros characters, but it's even cooler to know they were done in BASH! I shouldn't be surprised though - it's incredibly easy to recreate them!
Speaking of whom, I updated Brock.
Soak 3 due to Brawn 2 and Armour 1. Situational Soak of 4 if using Boxing skill (+2 vs hand to hand but replaces armour since they don't overlap and uses whichever is better).
Defense 5 due to Agility 2 plus 1 point in martial arts, plus 2 points for danger sense.
It's Brock - he can take out a whole pack of ninjas in no time flat, how could I have forgotten Swift Strike?
I started watching the series again.. he managed to withstand at least 20 poison tipped darts (of which 1 was enough to kill a normal human) before falling unconcious for about 6 hours. (To be more precise, they hit him with the poison darts *and* hit him with a truck). I figure that would have been the equivalent of a hero die?
I also updated Advantages and Disadvantages to work in Contacts - as an example, when he's taking his Spy exam, his written portion consisted of a drawing of Icarus.. the examiner says "My father, the Colonel, used to speak of you as a God. you did not dissapoint" and rips the exam in half. Brock then comments "Oh yeah. I used to babysit you." .
It's amazing how much you can forget in a year!

It depends on how easy going the GM is. You could be normal and have "powers" based on high tech. You could also allow "powers" based on high training, like a level of Boost or Armor.
BASHman, in your Ultimate Powers book, you might want to make mention of that, how some powers might be used by "normal" characters, within certain limits.

Well, it will have "Gadgets" which it says can be used by characters with the Normal disad.

Well, it's the best way to have the character sheet match up to the character on the show, from what i can see. Some things have difficulty translating across, and I figured this was the best way to represent.
At this point I'm done with Brock and am moving on, he'll stay as is

Do not forget the episode on the space station where he was partially decompressed. He just blew a bloody snot rocket and said he was going to go lie down.

Ha ha! these are awesome! You've got Brock dead-on. I can't wait to see more.
