Michael,

Thanks for the look overs. Just gonna give some quick responses, as I've been up since last night, and am just about ready to hit the sack.
Michael wrote:American Ape typo:
Special Attack +2 hit would be X5 not X3
Thanks. I'll fix that
Michael wrote: Wonder Man:
With a X7 soak, I don't know if he needs immunity to bullets. Immunity to high or low pressure or don't need to breathe might be more fun.
As he was an actual comic book character, that's what his powers were. So while your suggestions are cool, what I wrote is what he could do in the comic. It may seem less effective, but he had what he had, so I didn't want to give him much more other than maybe some knockback to his hand to hand attacks via Push
Michael wrote: Scarlet Siren:
Nice picture, I might give her appeal. I'd think that a weapon technique to give bonuses with brass knuckles would also apply unarmed. Also, I would strongly suggest a defensive martial art since Siren has a defense of X2 with a soak of only X1 against non hand to hand.
hmmm... The arts I gave her were the ones I felt best suited what she could learn at the time. I'll have to consider upping her Brawn to 2 then. Appeal does seem appropriate, so I'll consider that too.
Michael wrote: The Badge:
Special Attacks have a range of touch unless you buy an enhancement, it should not be a limitation. As far as the mind goes, I would probably build him with a mind of 2 based on your description and what you want to do with him.
I didn't give the touch as a limitation. I was simply clarifying on the sheet that his attack was touch only, not ranged. Mind 2 is still too high, imho, which is why I went with mind 1 ;)

can someone double check my point totals on American Ape? I did him up with the metacreator program, and that sheet has him at 35 points, but the image I posted lists him at 33. Somewhere I screwed up, so I'd like to figure out which one I screwed up.

Ok, I made some edits to American Ape, The Badge and Wonder Man. AA I just fixed the info on his soak bonus from his armor.

The Badge I went and gave him Mind 2. I also added a Daze attack to his shield multipower, and changed the boost for Sense Injustice to be used with the Daze attack. I also removed Sense Injustice, as I felt it was too vague, even though I liked the idea.

For Wonder Man, I modified his TK limitation to allow him to both catch and throw things with it. I lowered his armor by 1, and gave him an Armor Piercing Punch (touch only SA, with the Extra DM only vs armor). While he was originally designed to follow his only comic book appearance, I figured the extra power was warranted, given that he was the first rip off of Superman :P

After some debate, i decided to leave Scarlet Siren as is. As she has Boxing, it makes her physical soak 3, so leaving her Brawn at 1 was fine with me. I considered giving her appeal, but decided against it. It fits the concept, but I liked keeping her total rounded at 30. I did make her image on the sheet larger, so she views clearer.

While the images earlier in the thread are updated, here they are again for those too lazy to look back:

As always, if you catch any mistakes, please let me know. I'll be test driving these characters next Saturday, when I run my first ever game of BASH!

Now to get Sky Marshal II and Mr. Flexible written up!

Sky Marshal II

Post by urbwar »

Ok, got Sky Marshal II done. Based mostly on the pulp-era Jet Pack Jock, with some modifications.

Mr. Flexible

Post by urbwar »

Mr. Flexible is done! Basically the Stretcher template, but I upped his Special Attack one level. I gave him unskilled, but wasn't sure how you choose which skills to take out, so I just removed any mental skills, since he's basically a jock who gained super powers. Bonus points to whomever can tell me what movie influenced his name & origin....

oh, and as always, if anyone spots any mistakes in my point totals for Flexible and/or Sky Marshal, please let me know!

Here's a very nasty Mesopotamian Demon/Goddess the *'s in my one shot are trying to release; let's hope the Guardians of Liberty can prevent that!

And the last member of The Guardians of Liberty, The Wraith III:

Lamashtu! love it. She could drop right into the Age of Olympus setting (as an invading mid-east demon). I did notice her claws- should that be +3DM not x3DM?

Yeah, she could. I discovered her in a book called "Son of Darkness", about an Unsellie type from another dimension living in NYC, and some idiot summoned Lamashtu to cause havoc. I fell in love with her wickedness

You're right about the DM; I keep putting X when I should be putting +.

Gotta make sure I tell all the players today about that error!

Why aren't you using your shiny, new drawing of Lamashtu? ;)

I think my favorite is American Ape.

This was just the one shot version; when I unveil the real version, your glorious rendition of her will be out for all to see

Thanks Tribunus! Many of these characters got test driven tonight when I ran a one shot at Nerd NYC's Recess event. Just got home from that, so I need to relax a bit, then do a short write up of it in the Actual Play forum

Hey thanks for sharing all these, Urbwar. Agreed that American Ape is cool. But I think my favorite is Velocity Jane. Dig her look. But Sky Marshal and the rest are way cool.

Glad you like them! I ran most of the characters yesterday, so I can see some changes that might need to be made. Other than that, I'm happy with how they came out.
