Harrigan's Builds

Post by Harrigan »

A character from a Runaways-type game I've been playing in for a couple of years. BOY was she quick to build in Bash compared to M&M. Thoughts? Am I getting this right? One thing I don't know is how to score a multipower that has a linked power on it. Is that 1 or 3pts? (I have it as 3 in the build.)

My suggestions:

1. Super Jump is a 1pt power (in new printing)- so would not put it in the Multi-Power with Boost- because it is in a seperate category from Boost. (+2pts instead of +1pt). Instead I'd just give it a limitation <Cannot>. I'd put it in a multi-power with Swinging, and give that the same limitation...
OR
2. Swinging <Limit> is also 1pt on its own. You may not want to bother with it as a multi-power, since that would mean you cannot swing and jump in the same panel. It would cost the same points either way.

3. Your Boost power shouldn't be in a Multi-Power. There is no need. If you want it not to be able to be used along with swinging and super jump, just have that as a limitation on those powers.

Reading your Multi-Powers is a little tricky. I would recommend each sub-power in a multi-power be indented below the "Main" power in the multi-power.

1. I suggest dropping the multipower and taking variable effect on your push instead.
Boost Agility +1 to Hit
Swinging, Burnout
Super Jump, Tiring
Seismoblast: Push 5, Variable Effect, Burnout

2. Mind Shield adds 2 to mental defense.

3. With a boost brawn of 1 and armor of 3, you might as well just raise her brawn to 4 (and get rid of the brawn boost and reduce the armor to 2).

Thanks for the advice here, you two. Will do a bit of a rebuild here shortly and re-post...

Changed things up a little, simplified and such. Thoughts?

Image

Major changes:
-Tried to make her powers a little easier to read
-Dropped the mega-blast -- she can the Pushing Yourself mechanics for that.
-Changed the Seismoblast to a big old Push.
-Broke up the multipower, added Gadget to everything and Same Source to a lot of things, trying to indicate if the gauntlets aren't on, there's lots she cannot do.
-Keeping the Boosts. Not trying to make her more efficient, trying to model that she's tougher and a better fighter when equipped with her gauntlets.
-Put a "Shared" Limitation on a pair of 1pt powers, taking them both for 1pt. Do I need to do this if they're already "Linked?"

Look better / legal?

Very awesome character. I love the character's background. It's a great campaign story idea:

The Good Seeds... [As opposed to the bad seed many families are embarased to admit they have.]
