Just saw these builds. I saw Blue Jay, Cheshire Cat, VIPER AGENTS, etc...and just thought COOL! As an old skool Champions player, I am nostalgic about these old npcs. I have my old Classic Enemies book on the shelf here and can totally see converting the likes of Ankylosaur, GROND etc into BASH! I totally love how easy and yet flexible this game is. It almost seems "as crunchy as you want to make it". Awesome!

Howdy Samuraidad!

A fellow old-timey Champions guy like me?! Cool! You might want to check out my "Classic Champions" thread over on the Actual Play section. It's a very "robust" interpretation of the VIPER's Nest module from the original boxed set, with quite a few villain origins worked into the mix. Unfortunately, my gaming group is disintegrating a bit, so I'm not sure that I'll even get to finish the story arc.

As for Grond, Ankylosaur, etc. I love those guys! I'll stat them up eventually.

Anyway, I agree with you about BASH UE. It takes me back to the glory days of Champions. I think it's a slicker system, mind you, but it evokes the level of fun and wonder that I had as an 11 year old, figuring out how to build characters in Champions.

In deed! I used to GM Champions back in the day. Those were good times. I really wish I had BASH back then. What a great system! But I will always love the Champions Universe. Such great material! I would really like to convert Deathstroke (i.e. Deathsinger, Frost, Stinger et.al.) over as well. Heck there's really too many to name. Oh and I'll have to check out that thread you are talking about!

Good to talk with you!

Likewise! I'd love to see any conversions that you work on, BTW. Oh, and I've got Arrowhead and Death Commando done up already. You can check them out earlier on this thread. They both figure heavily into the Classic Champions campaign that I mentioned earlier (especially Arrowhead, of all people). I need to do Deathsinger, Frost, and Stinger, but they haven't made it into the campaign yet.

Dragonfly wrote:This is another Disadvantage question. In Champions, Crusader has a Code vs. Killing. I don’t think this should be worth anything in BASH! I just try to make that a point of role-playing, and perhaps fold it into Mental Malfunctions. Am I thinking “correctly” around these issues?
I would agree. Those without a known Code vs. Killing have the On the Run Disadvantage!

As a long-time Champions/Hero Games player, I've always had a soft spot for Lady Blue. I mean, how can you go wrong with a power-armored flying brick energy projector with Martial Arts? :D

I especially liked that she could easily be included in a campaign as a sympathetic villain or Robin Hood-esque vigilante, depending on one's tastes.

Maybe I'll try BASH-ing her to help me get better acquainted with the rules. :)

Code against killing should be the assumed MO of all superheroes unless you are running an Iron Age style game.

Hey folks,

I know I posted something like this before, and I know others have done similar work since then that is absolutely beautiful graphically and contentwise. That being said, I've tweaked my benchmarks and my take on the characters is a little different than what others have published, so I share this with you in case it's at all helpful and/or interesting.

Dragonfly's Stat Benchmarks for BASH UE
http://www.scribd.com/doc/44365027/Bash-Bench

I'm going to post this at the top on the index page as well. Please note that my old characters/conversions don't follow these benchmarks necessarily as they are "new".

Cheers,

Hey fellas!

I'm totally into the new Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes cartoon. I'm fooling around with creating stats for the Avengers as they appear on the show. I'll eventually do them up all nice, post the PDFs on Scribd, and link them to the index at the top of this thread, but for now I'll just post them here. I'd love to hear any feedback you might have, PARTICULARLY with Giant-Man / Ant-Man, as he is more complex with his ant swarms, etc.

Hey guys,

I'm still working on those Avengers, but in the meantime here is a character I just created for a one shot a friend of mine is running.

Firefight!

Feel free to send along any feedback on how to make him more effective!

I've never been able to post readable character sheet images on this forum. This is yet another attempt.
