Free Support Product Idea
I have an idea I've been toying around with and want to hear what people think of it. Essentially the idea is to give free PDF support products to Narrators/GMs who run BASH! or Honor + Intrigue at a gaming convention. Basically, you run one game, you get one PDF. If you could take a photo from the ...

Tome of Intriguing Options Mailing List
The next big product for Honor + Intrigue will be the Tome of Intriguing Options. We are starting a mailing list for those interested in more information when this Kickstarter launches this summer. https://i.postimg.cc/gJZB63fD/image.png https://i.postimg.cc/TwMJFF4V/image.png https://i.postimg.cc/z...

New Honor + Intrigue Adventure Module: the Sea Hag's Price
Take the Heroes on adventure to a place they've likely never been before: the ocean floor! https://www.drivethrurpg.com/images/68/434371.png The Sea Hag's Price begins with the PCs stranded on a rocky island. How they got there is up to you (a storm sinks their ship, marooned by pirates, a sea mons...

Re: To soak or not to soak
Thanks, I found it. We've used it for 3 sessions and it's been well received. No one misses rolling for soak and 5 soak/lvl makes Brawn a good deal even if you're not relying on it for primary damage. The only tweak on that has been capping total soak at 40 regardless of where you get it (Armor, Br...

Re: Ranged Combat
Well a person who has not shot a gun before is rolling at x1, but a person with any significant shooting experience would probably have a x2 to hit. Maybe even x2+3.

Re: To soak or not to soak
I personally wouldn't fool with doing Encumbrance myself.
As for where it is in the rulebook, it was in the Pulp section (not Iron-Age, my mistake); page 77.

Re: Ranged Combat
Here is how I might handle it as a house rule: Unattended Objects have a base difficulty of 10 if they are small, 5 if they are not. Narrator may adjust this based on size. Powers with a Range of Close (5 squares) don't get any adjustment. Otherwise: Targets within one fifth of your max range you ge...

Re: To soak or not to soak
There is one potential downside of allowing flat soak above 30 and that increases the odds of a character being un-hurtable in certain situations. RAW allows for a low Soak Roll at the same time as a good damage roll to make a dramatic and sudden shift in the combat (especially if this is the moment...

Re: To soak or not to soak
A short session with new characters yesterday to try out the change above (Armor = 10/lvl, revised equipment similarly) worked pretty well. Guns were suitably dangerous to unarmored heroes and civilians but not to tanky characters which could still absorb quite a bit of punishment. Rolling for soak...
