I'm debating if a single individual contributor is defeated if the combined form immediately separates. I can see the argument both ways. I think maybe I don't include specific rules for that so the individual Narrator can decide.

Regarding Super Form as a Disadvantage, I can think of something that might work. Maybe you *must* spend a certain amount of time each day in your 'Normal" form for whatever reason-- like your "normal" body only gets sleep, food, water, etc. when you consume it in that form. While I see merit in the idea, what I don't get is what is "advantageous" in taking the Super Form advantage. Let us imagine two 40-point heroes with identical powers. The inspiration for the Starfaring rules was that one of my players volunteered to GM a game set in a galaxy far far away and he chose to use Honor + Intrigue to run it. So the two of us kitbashed a very quick sci-fi adaptation for it. I have periodically tweeked it and expanded upon it.
