Re: World of Megapolis, 1935

Well, I've been running it off and on. I had a lot of GM-Burnout towards the end of my last campaign and began this one only under an understanding that it would be done as Rotating Narrators. Each player in the group is supposed to take a turn running a game, and at the most I would do every other ...

Re: Golden Age Champions/BASH

Very nifty. I've been running a Golden Age game set in 1935 (off and on) myself for my BASH! games most recently.

Yes, they do get to make a Soak roll (unless they are Minions).

Re: Honor + Intrigue Second Edition?

I'd love to see this supplemental book for H+I. The idea of adding a layer of arcane magic to the rules sounds like great fun! I'm also interested in the sci-fi adaptation. I hope that you could sketch out a starter for a setting to go along with it. I remember as a kid, shortly after Star Wars cam...

World of Megapolis, 1935

So we are doing a new BASH! campaign that is going to be a Rotating Narrators (GMs) style where we take turns running the game. This is a globe-trotting troupe-play/Western Marches style game where each player can have multiple Heroes of their own to use and swap to whichever one they prefer for the...

Re: Shape-Shifting: A Closer Look

Sijo, there is a Limitation called "Weakness Absorption" that I think would also be * to use with Shape-Shifting in the manner you describe. While the version in AP11 mentions getting a weakness by using copycat to copy someone's powers, I think it makes sense if you are copying a generic creature/o...

Re: Our Powers Combined: working on a Disad for AP16

I'm debating if a single individual contributor is defeated if the combined form immediately separates. I can see the argument both ways. I think maybe I don't include specific rules for that so the individual Narrator can decide.

Our Powers Combined: working on a Disad for AP16

I'm working on a new Disadvantage for AP16. Is this clear enough? Is t too long? Am I forgetting something?: Our Powers Combined: This Disadvantage involves multiple characters who either merge together to form a single much more powerful character or multiple characters who give up their powers to ...

Re: Super Forms explained

I am liking this concept. A character like Billy Batson would have Normal and Super Form, while a character like Batman would only have Normal.

Re: Super Forms explained

Regarding Super Form as a Disadvantage, I can think of something that might work. Maybe you *must* spend a certain amount of time each day in your 'Normal" form for whatever reason-- like your "normal" body only gets sleep, food, water, etc. when you consume it in that form. Or, maybe you can only s...

Re: Super Forms explained

I don't think Shape-Shift requires that you turn into some sort of animalistic form; that was just offered as an example. It also suggested transforming into metal, etc. as other ways it could work, but it also says "Regardless of the explanation, the power lets you rearrange your points..." So if y...

Is this Advantage OK? Also got a better name idea?

What do we think about this potential new Advantage? Is it broken or prone to abuse? The idea is for characters similar to Banner/Hulk where the hero might not want to use their super form most of the time. Also anybody have a more "advantageous" sounding name for this? The idea is that the person i...

Re: Super Forms explained

While I see merit in the idea, what I don't get is what is "advantageous" in taking the Super Form advantage. Let us imagine two 40-point heroes with identical powers. Hero A has Normal and Super Form, but Hero B has neither. What is the benefit to Hero A that Hero B doesn't get? There has to be som...
