I cannot get my better half to even attempt Savage Worlds, but she is a BASH! UE fan (and a BASHMAN fan) - that being the case I have never managed to run Hellfrost, which I think is an awesome setting.

Check the setting out at TripleAceGames - the gazzeteer and the multitude of region guides builds a comprehensive world which would lend itself to B! Fantasy UE really well (if it is anything like BASH! UE or even sci fi that is).

What would you want to run with BASH Fantasy UE?

Not quite answering your post, but I am running a BASH supers fantasy game set in a Britain suddenly overwhelmed by the return of Magic. The characters were created using the BASH supers rules and those are the rules we are using, though. So it is not exactly what you are asking.

I plan to use a lot of the material from BASH Fantasy as we go along. But I decided to keep with the supers rules, because Magical Britain is part of the New Centurions Universe, I want the possibility crossover games, etc.

With a BASH Fantasy UE, I would be very tempted to reboot a failed campaign I ran using the Arcana Evolved System but not its setting.

A millenium before the present day, the world was destroyed by the invasion attempt of an extradimensional race. At the final moment, several gods, along with the most of the powerful magic users in the world enacted a ritual to prevent the invasion and the world's destruction, killing themselves in the process.

They were too late by less than a heartbeat. The world exploded, sending shards of itself into the atmosphere and beyond. Tens of millions died instantly, along with the earth goddess.

But the ritual to save the world had an effect. It preserved the necessities of life on many of the tens of thousands of Shards and stabilized them as much as it was able within the remains of the atmosphere.

Fast forward to the present day, where you have a huge cloud of planetary shards suspended in the Void, which is a livable atmosphere without gravity. The Sun still shines, and there is life, even civilization, scattered among the shards. New technologies have arisen to enable life, commerce and empire to exist and thrive. Ships of various sorts ply the Void from shard to shard. And some life has changed to exist in the Void itself.

This is the Countless Shards.

It was a cool setting, and we did have fun, but we could never get a handle on the Arcana Evolved System. It was a good system, just too similar to 3rd Ed D&D while not being similar enough for ease of use. And the magic system frustrated people more than anything else.
